Strategic and tactical work for which this position is accountable:

LDF is undertaking a major effort to organize, preserve, digitize, and create a website featuring a substantial portion of our 8,000 boxes of rich historical case files and institutional records.
LDF Archives Internship:
LDF is seeking a current or recent graduate student in Library and Information Studies for a Summer 2025 Archives Internship. Working closely with LDF archivists, the Archives Intern will primarily assist with surveying, arranging, and describing physical and digital records related to the ongoing fight for racial justice. The intern may also assist with tasks such as research for the LDF Oral History Project, curating content for the Archives website, ingesting files into Preservica, assisting with developing or updating archives policies and procedures, general research and writing about LDF’s history, and other projects. About the Role
The Senior Contract Administrator is a key member of the Legal Operations, Contract &amp; Risk Management team, responsible for independently managing the contract lifecycle, supporting legal counsel in negotiations, and ensuring compliance with enterprise and regulatory standards. This role requires advanced contract expertise, strong redlining and negotiation skills, and the ability to triage complex agreements for attorney review. The Senior Contract Administrator reports to the Director, Legal Operations, Contract &amp; Risk Management.
What does a great Senior Contract Administrator do?
This role supports the Legal team and partners with Strategic Sourcing, Finance, Compliance, and business stakeholders to ensure contracts are efficiently and accurately processed. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
<ul>
<li>Independently redlining and negotiating vendor and client contracts under Director, Legal Operations, Contract &amp; Risk Management or attorney guidance, as applicable</li>
<li>Managing contract intake and triaging complex agreements for legal review</li>
<li>Ensuring contracts comply with internal policies and regulatory standards</li>
<li>Facilitating vendor and client contract amendments, renewals, and terminations</li>
<li>Maintaining and updating contract templates and clause libraries, operating within the process developed to review and approve templates and clause libraries</li>
<li>Providing reporting and analytics to enhance visibility into contract status and risk</li>
<li>Support TPRM efforts as applicable, to ensure the mitigation of single points of failure</li>
<li>Continually monitor processes and identify changes needed to optimize workflows</li>
<li>Publish and edit Standard Operating Procedures to support Legal Operations, Contract and Risk Management processes</li>
<li>Support/facilitate other efforts to ensure Legal is providing the most effective and efficient assistance to the Legal team and company, as applicable</li>

How you will provide meaningful contributions:
The Senior Contract Administrator will:
<ul>
<li>Lead contract lifecycle management (CLM) system administration, ensuring metadata accuracy and repository integrity</li>
<li>Execute contract workflows, including e-signature processes and stakeholder approvals</li>
<li>Independently redline and negotiate standard vendor and client agreements, escalating complex issues to Director, Legal Operations Contract &amp; Risk Management or directly to legal counsel, as applicable</li>
<li>Maintain standardized templates and clause banks to promote consistency and reduce risk</li>
<li>Partner with Legal, TPRM, business teams, Strategic Sourcing, as applicable, to ensure timely contract review and resolution</li>
<li>Generate dashboards and reports to monitor contract volumes, turnaround times, and risk indicators</li>
<li>Identify process gaps and lead continuous improvement initiatives</li>
</ul>
Basic Qualifications for Consideration:
The ideal candidate will demonstrate advanced contract administration capabilities, strong negotiation and redlining skills, and the ability to support Legal team to meet and exceed departmental and company goals in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills / Experience
<ul>
<li>Minimum 5–7 years of experience in contract administration or legal operations, with direct experience supporting a legal team and company in a contract administration role</li>
<li>Proven ability to independently redline and negotiate vendor and client documents such as amendments, renewals, statements of work, change orders, etc.</li>
<li>Expertise in CLM platforms, e-signature tools, and document management systems</li>
<li>Experience with workflow development and process optimization</li>
<li>Experience leading process improvement and change management initiatives</li>
<li>Strong understanding of contract law and third-party risk principles to decipher when issues need to be escalated for further review</li>
<li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)</li>
<li>Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills</li>
<li>Ability to manage competing priorities and work cross-functionally</li>
