What you have
<ul>

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
</li>
<li>
Active license with a state bar and authorization to practice law in the state of New York

Minimum of 3 years of in-house or firm experience in the consumer finance industry (Credit, Banking, Payments, etc.) – Fintech/Earned Wage Access experience preferred.

Demonstrated experience in litigation, including managing cases from inception through resolution and coordinating with outside counsel.
</li>
<li>
Knowledge of regulatory and compliance matters related to banking and financial services, including state and federal investigations.&nbsp;

Compensation
The anticipated annual base salary for this position is $125,000 - $165,000. This range does not include any other compensation components or other benefits for which an individual may be eligible (other benefits listed below). The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.

<li>Provides legal services in a wide range of issues with a strong focus on clients with immigration related issues that include family-based immigration, adjustment of status, naturalization, U/T Visas, VAWA, TPS, and asylum. Additional legal services provided in the areas of benefits, housing, advance planning and disability rights.</li>
<li>Periodically train medical staff to foster better communication and stronger relationships. This may be larger trainings on specific legal issues, advocacy, and other areas of interest as well as smaller case consultations. </li>
<li>Position requires an in-person legal clinic at a hospital 2 days per week and fulfilling the hospital clearance requirements.</li>
