The person for this role will be responsible for enforcing building codes, zoning ordinances, and land use regulations while leveraging engineering expertise to ensure that commercial and residential developments are compliant, safe, and sustainable. Qualifications:

The Senior Engineer is the 4th level of progression on the Engineering Technical Career Path for individuals who have demonstrated requisite fulfillment of high-competency in engineering skills and aptitude. The position of Senior Engineer is intended for individuals who aspire to reach the highest levels of technical expertise. This role can be linked to either a specific product line to technical discipline. A suffix designating a distinction to a technical discipline or equipment line is customary (i.e. Senior Engineer, Aerodynamics or Senior Engineer, Axial Compressors.) The Senior Engineer will lead projects involving the inspection, disposition, modeling and design calculations associated with multiple equipment lines. Job Opportunity: Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Risk Engineer specializing in the Property Construction segment supporting our rapidly growing Builder’s Risk business. The position reports directly to the VP Risk Control, Energy and Construction, North America however all Risk Engineers at BHSI are fully integrated with the Underwriting Team(s).
