Job Summary

The Field Service Engineer (FSE) provides frontline technical support to customers by troubleshooting, repairing, calibrating, and verifying the performance of complex diagnostic imaging equipment. This role primarily supports customers within an assigned territory and requires timely travel to customer sites. The position is remote/work-from-home, with engineers dispatched directly to customer locations as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary onsite support engineer for contract, warranty, and billable service calls within the assigned territory

  • Provide backup onsite support in other territories when required

  • Diagnose and resolve system and component issues, including software reloads and hardware replacement, to meet OEM performance standards

  • Perform preventive maintenance (PM) and routine service activities

  • Communicate with internal Service Support, Service Managers, and technical teams to track and close service calls

  • Consult via phone, email, and Microsoft Teams with leadership and technical staff to troubleshoot and resolve escalated issues

  • Maintain professional, customer-focused communication aligned with company values

  • Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours support

  • Generate and report system sales leads to the sales team

  • Train and share equipment knowledge internally across the organization

  • Ensure compliance with ISO 13485:2016 and company Quality Management System requirements

  • Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance service efficiency

  • Adhere to company policies, safety standards, and employment guidelines

  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Required Education Experience

  • Associates degree in Biomedical, Electrical/Electronics, or Computer Engineering Technology,
    OR military technical training,
    OR equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Minimum 4 years of hands-on CT/MR troubleshooting and repair experience (required)

  • GE and/or Siemens OEM training strongly preferred

  • Advanced troubleshooting experience across multi-OEM and multi-modality systems is a plus

  • Ability to complete required customer credentialing processes (mandatory)

Skills Qualifications

  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; ERP system experience is a plus

  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision

  • Willingness to learn and support new technologies and system models

Physical Travel Requirements

  • Willing and able to travel 5075% of the time

  • Valid drivers license with insurable Motor Vehicle Record

  • Ability to lift, carry, or move up to 100 lbs

  • Ability to bend, crouch, kneel, climb, and maneuver while servicing equipment
