Protocol Engineer

Job Description
Our Geotechnical department is looking for an Engineering Technician candidate to support our growing team in Rochester, NY. This employee will be an entry level. Salary is $17.50/Hour.

Duties:

<li>Perform visual classification and laboratory testing of soil samples collected during the subsurface investigation. </li>
<li>Perform geotechnical field services, which may include subsurface exploration layouts and geophysical surveys. </li>
<li>Prepare subsurface exploration logs for use in geotechnical evaluations and reports. </li>
</ul>
Requirements
<ul>
<li>0 - 3 years of progressive experience in the geotechnical field. </li>
<li>Prior experience in a geotechnical laboratory is preferred but not required. </li>
<li>Engineer in Training (EIT) is preferred but not required. </li>
<li>Driver's license required. </li>
<li>Position will require out of town field work based on workload (approximately 20-40%) </li>
<li>Position will require ability to lift 50 pounds. </li>
<li>Effective verbal and written communication skills. </li>
<li>Possess a high capacity for self-motivation. </li>
<li>Ability to apply engineering principles to a variety of geotechnical projects.</li>
</ul>

Salary Range: $17.50 per hour
