The primary goal of this engagement is to ensure the successful implementation, adoption, and ongoing support of new IT systems/applications at the DOE.
The Department of Information Technology and Telecommunications (DIIT) currently manages over 600 systems and applications, a number that continues to grow annually. These systems are frequently updated, enhanced, or replaced with new platforms. DIIT collaborates closely with internal teams, stakeholders, and end users across the DOE to ensure smooth rollouts and successful user adoption.
Consultants will be engaged under a Time and Materials (T&amp;M) contract to support the implementation, adoption, and ongoing optimization of DOEs enterprise IT systems and platforms
 
JOB DESCRIPTION 
 
Each trainer will be responsible for leading in-person and/or virtual training sessions within their assigned borough.
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Training Delivery
<ul>
<li>Conduct multiple sessions per day/week (as needed) based on training requirements, both virtually and in-person,</li>
</ul>
depending on the needs of the borough.
<ul>
<li>Facilitate interactive, engaging sessions using hands-on exercises, demonstrations, and use cases that align with the DOE's objectives.</li>
<li>Provide individualized assistance to participants during training sessions to address specific challenges or questions.</li>
</ul>
Customization of Training
<ul>
<li>Customize training materials to fit the needs of different user groups (e.g., teachers, administrators, staff) based on</li>
</ul>
their role and technical proficiency.
<ul>
<li>Provide examples relevant to each group, ensuring content is practical and applicable to daily tasks.</li>
</ul>
User Engagement and Assessment
<ul>
<li>Implement pre- and post-training knowledge checks and surveys to measure baseline knowledge and improvements after the session.</li>
<li>Engage participants through interactive discussions, Q&amp;A sessions, and role-playing exercises that make learning</li>
</ul>
dynamic and relatable.
<ul>
<li>Track participant feedback during and after the session and report this to the Lead Coordinator for analysis and</li>
</ul>
action.
Reporting and Documentation
<ul>
<li>Document all training activities, including attendance, participant feedback, and any identified issues that require</li>
</ul>
follow-up.
<ul>
<li>Provide weekly reports to the Lead Coordinator detailing the number of sessions conducted, participation metrics,</li>
</ul>
and any challenges faced.
Ongoing Support
<ul>
<li>Offer support for post-training questions, via virtual office hours or email, to address any user challenges after the</li>
</ul>
session.
<ul>
<li>Help troubleshoot issues participants encounter while using the applications, escalating complex issues to the Lead Coordinator or DOEs IT support team as needed.</li>
</ul>
 
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
<ul>
<li>3+ years of experience delivering in-person and virtual training sessions, with a focus on engaging and interactive</li>
<li>Experience customizing training materials to suit various user groups with different levels of technical proficiency.</li>
<li>Proven experience providing post-training support and troubleshooting user challenges.</li>
<li>Experience tracking and reporting training metrics, including attendance, engagement, and feedback.</li>
<li>Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and relatable manner.</li>
<li>Proficiency in using training tools and virtual platforms for effective delivery.</li>
<li>Ability to engage participants and foster a dynamic learning environment through interactive exercises.</li>
<li>Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills to document training activities and report on progress.</li>
<li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team, ensuring alignment with project goals and objectives.</li>
