Job DescriptionJob Summary:
Genesis Consulting is seeking an experienced and engaging Trainer to deliver high-quality training sessions both in-person and virtually. Each trainer will be responsible for conducting sessions in their assigned borough, adapting content to suit diverse user groups, and supporting participants through every stage of the learning process. The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to connect with learners, customize content based on technical proficiency, and promote long-term adoption of tools and processes.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Training Delivery
· Conduct multiple training sessions per day or week as required, in both virtual and in-person formats.
· Facilitate hands-on, interactive learning experiences using demonstrations, use cases, and real-world examples aligned with organizational goals.
· Provide personalized assistance during sessions to address individual participant needs and challenges.
Customization of Training
· Tailor training content and delivery for various user groups (e.g., teachers, administrators, operational staff) based on roles and varying technical skill levels.
· Use relevant scenarios and examples to ensure content is relatable, practical, and directly applicable to each audience’s day-to-day responsibilities.
· Provide onboarding and ongoing training for the following Education Technology Applications:
o OASIS
o SESIS (Special Education Student Information System)
o TeachHub
o Advance
o Cybershift
o TSN (Talent Support Network)
o Applicant Gateway
o SupportHub
User Engagement and Assessment
· Implement pre- and post-training knowledge checks and surveys to assess learning outcomes.
· Actively engage participants through Q&A sessions, discussions, and role-play activities to reinforce learning objectives.
· Track participant feedback and relay insights to the Lead Coordinator for ongoing training improvement.
Reporting and Documentation
· Record all training session details including attendance, participant feedback, and key discussion points.
· Submit weekly reports to the Lead Coordinator summarizing:
o Number of sessions delivered
o Participant metrics and engagement levels
o Any issues or areas of concern requiring follow-up
Ongoing Support
· Provide post-training assistance through virtual office hours or email, helping users navigate new tools and resolve challenges.
· Troubleshoot user issues when possible and escalate more complex problems to the Lead Coordinator or IT support teams as appropriate.
Requirements
· 3+ years of experience delivering both in-person and virtual training with an emphasis on user engagement and interactive delivery methods.
· Experience in public sector, education, or enterprise IT environment.
· Demonstrated ability to customize training content for audiences with varying technical expertise.
· Experience with content development and training delivery of Education Technology Applications preferred.
· Proven experience offering follow-up support and troubleshooting post-training issues.
· Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts in clear, accessible language.
· Experience using virtual training tools and platforms (e.g., Zoom, Teams, Google Meet, or LMS tools).
· Skilled in tracking and reporting on training metrics such as attendance, engagement, and participant feedback.
· Ability to create a dynamic, participatory learning environment.
· Detail-oriented and organized, with strong documentation and reporting capabilities.
· Self-motivated and collaborative, able to work both independently and as part of a larger training team.
