POSITION SUMMARY:

Qualifications
<ul>
<li>Demonstrated commitment to educational equity for BIPOC youth and to NYCOBS values of community, courage, equity, integrity, and learning.</li>
<li>Minimum of three (3 )years experience on climbing walls or climbing programs (indoor and/or outdoor walls) with one year of management preferred</li>
<li>Current ACCT‑approved Climbing Wall Instructor or ACCT Level 2 certification</li>
<li>Competence to climb 5.7 top‑rope, lead wall inspections, and execute rescues, anchor skills a plus&nbsp;</li>
<li>Successful completion of NYCOBS practical skills assessment (self‑belay ascent, rappel, rescue demo).</li>
<li>Experience supervising staff, giving feedback, and managing risk in experiential‑education or outdoor‑recreation settings, preferred.</li>
<li>Strong verbal and written skills; ability to present to diverse stakeholders</li>
<li>Judgment &amp; Initiative: Sound decision‑making under stress; ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work independently.</li>
<li>Proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office.</li>
<li>Ability to obtain CPR/First Aid (WFA preferred);&nbsp;</li>
<li>Valid U.S. driver’s license (5‑year history)</li>
<li>Ability to pass NYC DOE fingerprinting/background check.</li>
<li>Ability to lift 50 lbs, work at heights, and spend up to five consecutive days outdoors (including overnights) in varied weather.</li>

Position Overview:

As a Front Desk Associate, you will be an essential part of our team, responsible for creating a welcoming and professional atmosphere for all guests and visitors. The Front Desk Associate serves as the first point of contact for guests, providing outstanding customer service and ensuring a positive experience during their stay or visit. Job Responsibilities:

<li>Safety and Security: Monitor the lobby area for any suspicious activity and report any concerns to the security team or management. Follow security protocols for guest safety and adhere to emergency procedures when needed.</li>
<li>Administrative Support: Assist with administrative tasks, such as filing, record-keeping, and preparing reports as assigned by the Front Office Manager.</li>
<li>Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, such as housekeeping and maintenance, to ensure seamless guest experiences and address any operational needs.</li>

Qualifications &amp; Requirements:

<li>High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in hospitality or a related field is a plus.</li>
