Role: School Maintenance Technician
Pay Rate: $24-26/hr
Hours: Mon- Fri (7am-3pm)
Location: 270 Duck Pond rd Lucust Valley NY 11560

Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Repair and maintain school buildings and facilities.</li>
<li>Perform general maintenance using basic skills in carpentry, plumbing, painting, masonry, appliance repair, and electrical wiring.</li>
<li>Complete set-ups and tear-downs for scheduled campus events.</li>
<li>Operate and maintain tools used in the maintenance and repair of building facilities.</li>
<li>Perform on-call duties as needed/assigned.</li>
<li>Remove snow with shovels, blowers, and plows when necessary.</li>
<li>Provide logistical support for campus activities, ensuring a clean and safe environment.</li>
<li>Assist with fire drills, lockdowns, and other safety exercises.</li>
<li>Help manage traffic flow and parking on campus.</li>
<li>Perform other duties as assigned.</li>
</ul>
 
Qualifications
<ul>
<li>High school diploma or equivalent required.</li>
<li>3+ years of experience in general maintenance or building trades (e.g., carpentry, plumbing).</li>
<li>Valid driver’s license.</li>
<li>Strong problem-solving skills, able to work independently or as part of a team.</li>
<li>Flexible, friendly, with good communication and time management skills.</li>
<li>Must be able to lift/move up to 50 pounds, work from ladders, and perform tasks requiring bending, reaching, and crawling.</li>
<li>Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and walk long distances across campus.</li>
<li>Experience in CMMS software program(s) </li>
<li>Requires stooping, kneeling, crawling, bending, turning, and reaching</li>
<li>Requires climbing and balancing</li>
<li>Must work in and around dust, fumes, and odors.</li>
<li>Must provide a criminal background check.</li>
