Duties and Responsibilities

Job Details
 Responsibilities 
<ul>
<li> Provide administrative support to several attorneys within real estate department</li>
<li> Edit legal documents and correspondence proficiently</li>
<li> Work in and navigate document management systems</li>
<li> Handle time and billing entries for attorneys and paralegals</li>
</ul>
 Qualifications 
<ul>
<li> Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Legal Secretary, preferably in commercial real estate.</li>
<li> Proven experience in administrative support within a legal environment.</li>
<li> Proficient in legal research and documentation.</li>
<li> Excellent knowledge of legal terminology, regulations, and court system.</li>
<li> Proficiency in MS Office Suite and legal software.</li>
<li> Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure.</li>
<li> Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.</li>
<li> Ability to handle sensitive information with the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality.</li>
<li> Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and quality.</li>
<li> Paralegal certification or equivalent would be considered an asset.</li>

Key Responsibilities 
Handle commercial litigation matters from inception through resolution
Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and legal memoranda
Conduct in-depth legal research and develop litigation strategies
Appear in court, take/defend depositions, and manage client interactions
Collaborate closely with a small, high-performing legal team
Qualifications:
JD from an accredited law school
Admitted to practice in New York
7+ years of commercial litigation experience
Strong legal writing and advocacy skills
Experience managing litigation independently
