Knowledge &amp; Skills:
Experience: One month to twelve months of similar or related experience.
Education: A high school education or GED.
Interpersonal Skills: Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.
Other Skills: Calculator and computer keyboard by touch. Operate money and coin counters, photocopier, telephone and other office equipment as needed. Must be good with number and name detail.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift and move bags of coin (up to 20 lbs). Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
Position Type: Full Time
Hours: 39.5+ Hours per week.
Current Schedule: Varies as needed.
Pay Range: $16.50 - $18.50
Actual starting salary will be determined based on skills, experience (to the extent relevant) and other job-related factors, consistent with applicable law.

Role Description:

<li>Hours: 8:30&nbsp;A.M-3:30 P.M</li>
<li>10 month calendar with a 30 day summer session</li>
<li>Responsibilities include: Demonstrate knowledge of developmental disabilities of students and their impact on performance and functioning.</li>
<li>Assess students’ needs and abilities and develop individualized art programs based on findings.</li>
<li>Implement an Art Curriculum that incorporates current theory, research, and practice and meets the needs and abilities of school age students with autism and other disabilities.</li>
<li>Prepare daily lesson plans with activities that are aligned to NYS Common Core Standards, informed by authentic assessment data which advance academic goals and, as applicable, reflect the objectives on the IEP; and progress reports as needed.</li>
<li>Incorporate goals and clinical recommendations into each student’s program.</li>
<li>Work directly with students, engaging in and supervising all art activities and coordinate staffs’ interactions with students.</li>
