Salary: $74,880/year + Union Benefits
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Full-time position
 
Description
We are seeking a hands-on, experienced Building Engineer to oversee operations in a prestigious 10-story commercial property located near Yankee Stadium, directly across from the courthouse. This is a high-profile site catering to upscale tenants and clients.

Key Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Oversee daily operations, maintenance, and repairs for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and life safety systems</li>
<li>Schedule and execute preventative maintenance and inspections</li>
<li>Respond to emergencies promptly and resolve tenant service requests efficiently</li>
<li>Coordinate and supervise contractors as needed</li>
<li>Manage supply inventory and assist with budgeting</li>
<li>Lead and schedule building staff while ensuring high performance and accountability</li>
</ul>
Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>5+ years of building operations and systems maintenance experience</li>
<li>Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems</li>
<li>Proven leadership and communication skills</li>
<li>Ability to read blueprints and manage multiple priorities</li>
<li>High School Diploma or GED required</li>
</ul>
Certificates Required:
<ul>
<li>FDNY Certificates: F89 (on-site after hiring), S13, and P99</li>
</ul>
Physical Requirements:
<ul>
<li>Available for 24/7 on-call support</li>
<li>Able to lift 50 lbs. and climb ladders</li>
</ul>
