Assistant After-school Program Director at PS X089 or PS X096 - COMPASS Elementary 
The Assistant Program Director is responsible for assisting in oversight of a school-based afterschool program. They will provide leadership, direction, supervision, and support to program staff along-side the Director to ensure desired program goals and outcomes are met. They represent NIDC to the whole school community.
Duties and Responsibilities, in concert with NIDC Youth Department Staff:
·Reports directly to Program Director, as well as other team members to create a dynamic after-school program that includes academic enrichment, social/emotional activities, project-based learning, arts, sports, and leadership activities.
·Supervise all aspects of a school-based after-school program
·Ensure that the program operates in compliance with all DOH safety and funder regulations and meets all contractual obligations, specifically in enrollment and rate of participation
·Report all incidents and accident reports to all relevant parties promptly and submit all documentation in a timely fashion.
·Planning of program activities and schedules for afterschool programs, holidays, and summer camp
·Planning and supporting weekly lesson plans. Conduct classroom observations; assess and evaluate staff on a consistent basis and address concerns as they arise
·Manage daily operations and coordinate with the school’s administration, teachers, secretaries, and custodial staff as needed
·Build and maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders (participants, parents, school staff and administration, funders, and the community working collaboratively with other NIDC departments)
·Must be privy to all databases and other systems required by NIDC and/or funders such as DYCD Connect.
·Assist in the interviewing, managing, training, and coaching of program staff and volunteers and documenting these efforts
Qualifications and Requirements: 
·Work towards a Bachelor’s degree related to elementary education or youth development
·Must have at least two years-experience supervising staff/managing youth programming
·Should host strong leadership, conflict-resolution, diplomacy skills, excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and multitask in a fast-paced environment

Looking for a Case Management Supervisor to work a part time caseload (see Service Coordination) job duties below.
The supervisor is expected to meet any waiver participants prior to the completion of the Revised Service Plan (RSP) developed by a Service Coordinator under their supervision.&nbsp;Any visits that exceed 10 in a month will be assisted by the TLC Directors.&nbsp; The Supervisor will have supervisory meetings with staff on at least a monthly basis, and review and sign-off on all service plans and monthly notes.&nbsp; In addition, they will monitor the quarterly tracking spreadsheet to ensure proper time management by staff.&nbsp;
A supervisor MAY maintain an active caseload of waiver participants up to 25. However, this caseload must be reduced from the maximum limit allowed in relation to his/her supervisory responsibilities.&nbsp;&nbsp; The Service Coordinator Supervisor must complete a monthly face to face visit with each TBI waiver participant on their caseload. They must meet with the participant in their home at least quarterly.
Job duties
The Service Coordinator will also be responsible for:
<ol>
<li>Formally reviewing, updating and submitting timely Service Plans (ISP, RSP, and addendum) to the RRDS for review (refer to the Service Plan section of this Manual for specific information on Service Plan responsibilities);</li>
<li>Organizing and facilitating Team Meetings; 30 day meeting and 6 month meeting</li>
<li>Maintaining records for at least seven years after termination of waiver services;</li>
<li>Assuring that the UAS is completed annually and meets LOC (Level of Care):</li>
<li>Maintaining records of waiver transportation as described in the Manual section on Transportation Services;</li>
<li>Assuring that all waiver service providers and the participant receive a current copy of the most recently approved Service Plan;</li>
<li>Maintaining knowledge of all approved waiver service providers in their region;</li>
<li>Conducting in-home visits with the participant no less than once a quarter, virtual visits monthly; and</li>
<li>Create and Review Housing documents for annual housing audit for participants that use housing subsidy</li>

 Job Overview of Classroom Teacher
The Classroom Teacher provides direct and appropriate individualized instruction based on IEP goals and objectives in the subject areas according to the New York Learning Standards and develops social skills while maintaining classroom discipline and safety. The teacher collaborates with a multidisciplinary team that includes milieu therapists/assistants, social workers, parents and other professionals in the education and treatment of each child. The Teacher reports student progress by reviewing the IEP on a quarterly basis, completing a daily computer log, participating in quarterly Planning Conferences, and by issuing report cards.
10 month school year and 6 week summer program
Hours – 8:30am-3:30pm daily, except for one day per week so designated for staff conference: 3:00pm-5:00pm.
Essential Duties of Classroom Teacher
Key duties of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

<li>Direct supervisor of all staff assigned to the classroom</li>
<li>Demonstrates competence with Therapeutic Crisis Intervention. </li>
<li>Knows and complies with agency standards regarding therapeutic holds. </li>
<li>Demonstrates basic understanding of suicide assessment &amp; intervention. </li>
<li>Has knowledge of basic issues of adverse medication reactions. </li>
<li>Adheres to agency policies regarding privacy &amp; confidentiality. </li>
<li>Demonstrates &amp; models sensitivity to cultural background of children, families and co-workers. </li>
<li>Follows up on concerns and complaints registered by children, families, and referral sources.</li>
<li>Maintains work attendance consistent with agency policy. </li>

<li>Ensures all educational paper work requirements are completed in a timely fashion including: daily log, conference reports, incident reports, IEP’s, and report cards. </li>

Essential Qualifications of Classroom Teacher
 
Key qualifications include:
