Role description
The main role of the Teacher is to provide ESL instruction to our international students. It may be that there is a double shift system where half the students have lessons on certain days and the other half have them on the opposite days, so there are a few different teacher contract options.
 
30 contact teaching hours per week: teachers will have 30 contact hours of teaching and will spend a 6th non-teaching day either going to the airport to assist with meet and greet/departure of students; being on site to help with arrivals and departures or general office duties; or leading in a full day excursion.
 
15 contact teaching hours per week: in the single shift scenario teachers are expected to teach 15 hours per week and perform a number of day time and evening activity sessions and a full-day excursion or airport transfers as well as doing some student monitoring at meal and breaktimes.

We're on the lookout for a dynamic Director to lead our Before and After School Program at Madison Elementary School in Madison, NY. As the Director, you'll be the driving force behind every aspect of the operation of the Healthy Kids Program Site.
 
 
JOB STATUS: Part-Time, Non-Exempt
SCHEDULE: 6:50 - 8:30 am and 2:50 - 6:00 pm
PAY: $17.00 per hour
 
 
JOB CONSISTS OF:
<ul>
<li>Guiding Compliance: Ensure that both staff and program adhere to OCFS guidelines, Healthy Kids policies, and the rules set by our host school.</li>
<li>Bringing the Fun: Direct engaging hands-on activities based on the Healthy Kids Curriculum, covering fitness, STEAM, academics, arts, and more. Plus, don't forget about homework completion – you'll be the ultimate homework hero!</li>
<li>Managing Like a Boss: Take charge of essential management tasks, including maintaining accurate attendance and registration records, and ensuring proper staffing levels to keep the program running smoothly.</li>
<li>Keeping Everyone in the Loop: Maintain open lines of communication with parents and family members through the Playground App.</li>
<li>Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively and regularly with your direct report, ensuring they're up to speed on daily occurrences and addressing any issues that arise in a timely manner. By working together as a cohesive team, we'll provide the highest quality of care, foster a positive working environment, and proactively tackle any challenges that come our way.</li>

Requirements:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
To be qualified as a director, a person must possess either:
<ul>
<li>Two years of college with 18 credits in Child Development, Elementary Education, Physical Education, Recreation or a related field; and two years of direct experience working with children less than 13 years of age, including at least one year in a supervisory capacity in a child care program or related field of work.</li>
</ul>
OR
<ul>
<li>A New York State Children’s Program Administrator Credential; and two years of direct experience working with children less than 13 years of age, including at least one year in a supervisory capacity in a child care program or related field of work.</li>
</ul>
OR
<ul>
<li>A School-Age Child Care Credential or another office-recognized credential specific to the school-age developmental period; and two years of direct experience working with children less than 13 years of age, including at least one year in a supervisory capacity in a child care program or related field of work.</li>
</ul>
OR
<ul>
<li>an Associate’s degree in Child Development, Elementary Education, Physical Education, Recreation or a related field; and two years of direct experience working with children less than 13 years of age, including at least one year in a supervisory capacity in a child care program or related field of work.</li>
