The Teacher Residency Trajectory

For Resident Teachers who remain in good standing, Zeta anticipates offering a three-year compensation trajectory with annual salary increases tied to role progression and certification milestones. The anticipated three-year annual base salary scale for Resident Teachers starting at Zeta in 2026-27 is as follows (before applicable taxes and deductions):

Join Amazing Athletes as a Preschool Multi-Sport Instructor and make a difference in the lives of young children! We are seeking enthusiastic individuals who are passionate about sports, fitness and early childhood development to guide our young athletes in a fun and engaging environment.

As a Multi-Sport Instructor, you'll be responsible for teaching various sports fundamentals to children ages 18 months to 5 years. Through structured programs, you will help foster teamwork, coordination, and the joy of movement while creating a positive and inclusive atmosphere for all participants. Curriculum and equipment is provided.
Your key responsibilities will include:

<li>Leading dynamic sports classes in preschools and daycare centers.</li>
<li>Engaging children through interactive lessons while promoting physical fitness.</li>
<li>Instilling sportsmanship, teamwork, and social skills among participants.</li>
<li>Ensuring the safety and well-being of all children during activities.</li>
<li>Maintaining a fun and welcoming environment for all kids.</li>
</ul>

Requirements
<ul>
<li>Must be at least 18 years old.</li>
<li>Valid driver's license and a personal vehicle required for travel.</li>
<li>Pass a NYS background check.</li>
<li>Experience working with children is a plus.</li>
<li>Availability M-F, no weekends. Various shifts between the hours of 9:30-12 AND 2-4pm</li>
<li>Willing to travel up to 30 minutes to each school.</li>

Lead Teacher Key Responsibilities: 
<ul>
<li>Curriculum and Instruction: Implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities using our proprietary Wonder of Learning curriculum to engage and support each childs growth</li>
<li>Classroom Management: Create and maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment</li>
<li>Family Communication: Maintain open, effective and positive communication with families and guardians about their childs progress and daily activities</li>
<li>Health and Safety: Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities to uphold health and safety standards, licensing regulations and ensure their well-being</li>
<li>Professional Development: Participate actively in ongoing professional development and training opportunities to enhance teaching skills</li>
<li>Assessment and Documentation: Observe, assess and document childrens learning and development to inform activities and share insights with families</li>
<li>Team Collaboration: Support Assistant Teachers and Resource Teachers, fostering a collaborative and positive team environment.</li>
<li>Behavior Guidance: Model and implement positive guidance strategies to support social-emotional growth and conflict resolution.</li>
</ul>
Qualifications: A lead teacher in the 2-year-old program MUST hold one of the following qualifications: 
<ul>
<li>Baccalaureate degree and State certification. A baccalaureate degree in early childhood education or a related field of study approved by the Department and valid certification issued by the State Education Department, pursuant to 8 NYCRR 80 or successor rule; OR</li>
<li>Baccalaureate degree and experience. A baccalaureate degree in early childhood education or a related field of study approved by the Department and two years of supervised and documented relevant experience in a pre-school program if currently employed in a permitted child care program; OR</li>
<li>Study plan. The person has proposed a plan for meeting the requirements of paragraph (1) or (2) of this subdivision within seven years, AND has obtained approval of this plan by an accredited college. A person who is eligible pursuant to a study plan shall submit documentation to the Department indicating proof of enrollment in such college and specifying the time, not to exceed seven years, required for completion of the study plan.
<ul>
<li>(A) The course of study may include the following study areas:
<ul>
<li>(i) Sociological, Historical, Philosophical Foundations of Education or</li>
<li>(ii) Sociology of Education or History of Education or Philosophy of Education</li>
<li>(iii) Child Development or Child Psychology</li>
<li>(iv) Educational Developmental Psychology or Psychological Foundations of Education</li>
<li>(v) Instructional Materials and Methods Courses - three courses required, including one on the pre-kindergarten or kindergarten level including, but not limited to, such courses as:
<ul>
<li>(aa) Teaching of Reading, Teaching of Math, Teaching Science to Young Children</li>
<li>(bb) Teaching of Music, Teaching of Art, Methods of Teaching of Language Arts</li>
<li>(cc) Teaching of Computer Technology to Young Children</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>(vi) Parent Education and Community Relations or Urban Education or Sociology of the Family or Parent, Child, School.</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>(B) To be study plan eligible, a person shall have:
<ul>
<li>(i) Associate's (AA or AS) degree in early children education, practicum included; or</li>
<li>(ii) Ninety or more undergraduate college credits and one year classroom experience teaching children in pre-kindergarten, kindergarten or grades 1-2; or</li>
<li>(iii) Baccalaureate in any other academic subject and one year classroom experience teaching children up to third grade.</li>
