Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Provide overall strategic, operational, and programmatic leadership, including managing daily operations, in collaboration with Program Directors and the Board of Directors.</li>
<li>Serve as the principal spokesperson for the organization and build relationships with stakeholders to advance the organization's mission and goals.</li>
<li>Ensure the integration of program strategies and activities to meet the long-term vision of the organization.</li>
<li>Work closely with the Board of Directors to support governance and ensure alignment between the organization’s operations and its strategic objectives.</li>
<li>Keep the Board regularly updated on organizational performance and key issues,</li>
<li>including financial health, compliance, and program development.</li>
<li>Oversee and collaborate with Program Directors to monitor and evaluate the performance of all programs and services, ensuring they align with the organization’s mission and goals.</li>
<li>Work with Program Directors on defining and refining program objectives, ensuring that they are effectively executed and meet community needs.</li>
<li>Provide leadership on the development and implementation of new programs as needed to meet the changing needs of the community.</li>
<li>Assist the Board with fundraising efforts, including grant applications, donor relations, and partnerships with stakeholders.</li>
<li>Manage the organization’s financial performance and ensure compliance with budgetary guidelines, reviewing financial reports regularly.</li>
<li>Build and maintain relationships with community stakeholders, donors, and other key partners.</li>
</ul>
Experience
<ul>
<li>Bachelor's degree in a related field (master’s preferred).</li>
<li>At least 10 years of experience in a leadership role within a nonprofit or similar</li>
<li>organization, including experience managing teams and large-scale programs.</li>
<li>Knowledge of fundraising strategies and donor relations,</li>
<li>Excellent organizational, financial, and program management skills.</li>
<li>Ability to think strategically and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.</li>
<li>Experience in overseeing budgeting, financial forecasting, and resource management.</li>

Job DescriptionDescriptionManhattan Youth is looking for several part-time After-school Counselors to join our dedicated Elementary School (K-5) team for the 2025-2026 academicschool year.&nbsp; We are seeking dynamic and energetic individuals to assist in delivering a wide variety of programs including sports, recreation, and competitive activities; STEM and other academic enrichment; visual, performing, and creative arts; and leadership, community service, and social justice. &nbsp;&nbsp;As a Counselor, you will serve a critical role in our ability to deliver programs to the children in our community.&nbsp; Working with Activity Specialists, you will gain hands-on experience with students in our after-school programs.&nbsp; After-school Counselors are expected to help create an environment that encourages in children creative thinking, verbal communication, independent exploration, self-confidence, self-awareness, and a problem-solving approach to conflict. &nbsp;&nbsp;Qualified candidates will be punctual, reliable, personable, organized and fun.&nbsp; The right candidate will love, understand, nurture, support, accept all children, and be ready to return to in person learning.&nbsp;These are part-time, hourly positions available during the school year from September 2025 through June 2026, following the NYC DOE schedule.&nbsp; After-school programs run from 2:00-3:00 to 6:00pm Monday through Friday.&nbsp; Individual schedules will vary by school.&nbsp; Pay: $20/hour Primary Responsibilities
