Position Summary:
As a Mentor for Elementary/Middle School Programs, you will design an engaging and intellectually stimulating experience for students while supervising and ensuring the safety of the youth under your care. You will develop a rapport, provide guidance, serve as a role model for youth and assist the Activity Specialist during program activities. 
Reports to: Program Director
Compensation: $22-$24 an hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications.This is an in-person position for the school year from September through June with potential rehire for summer and the following school year.

Position Description:
The Teacher of the Deaf /HH or Early Childhood Special Educator serves a pivotal role within Clarke’s birth-3 program, conducting evaluations, providing individual SI sessions, virtually and in person and leads SI groups, such as parent/infant groups, toddler groups and parent support groups.
 
Clarke’s EI program uses parent coaching approach, to increase parents/caregivers capacity to use strategies and skills to support each child’s overall development, increase amplification use, and to apply listening and spoken language techniques outside of the intervention setting.
 
The EI teacher works closely with Clarke’s EI team of Speech Pathologists, Audiologist, OT/PT, service coordinator and other educators to support infants and toddlers who are deaf or hard of hearing and their families.
 
This is a full time, 35 hour per week position that follows the preschool 6-week summer schedule and academic calendar Sept-June, with the possibility of flexible scheduling for any parent groups meeting outside of regular business hours.
 
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
 
· Provide individual and group Early Intervention special instruction and support services following each child’s learning planning and in keeping with EI regulations and Clarke’s policies and procedures.
· Conduct evaluations following EI regulations and using appropriate tools such as standardized measures, questionnaires, parent report, and observation.
· Support parents/caregivers of children who are deaf or hard of hearing in Clarke’s birth-3 program by providing information, resources, connection and guidance about hearing loss related topics, typical development, and Early Intervention.
· Design a learning environment and activities for parent child and toddler groups that promote the child’s acquisition of skills in a variety of developmental areas, including cognitive processes, communication, and social interaction, that contribute to the development of auditory and spoken language skills.

Responsibilities: 
<ul>
<li>Work with students who are in Early Intervention or Preschool Program providing individualized lessons which target goals from the Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) / Individualized Educational Plan (IEP). </li>
<li>Develop creative and multi-sensory lessons based on the IFSP/IEP goals and report progress toward these goals. </li>
<li>Collect meaningful information on IEP /IFSP goals and report quarterly on child's progress with IEP/IFSP goals. </li>
<li>Ongoing communication with supervisors and multidisciplinary team. </li>
<li>Maintain accurate attendance and submit electronic billing daily. </li>
<li>Attend professional development trainings to maintain best practice approach and continue personal development. </li>

Responsibilities for CPSE Evaluations:

Summary Description: The Peer Care Manager will work as part of a multidisciplinary team in the Critical Time Intervention (CTI) program serving adults with co-occurring behavioral health and physical health needs who frequent ED/inpatient settings. The Peer Care Manager provides CTI services from a lived-experience and non-clinical perspective and carries a caseload. Peer Care managers develop the person-centered care plan, share knowledge of community resources, provide linkage to resources, engage individuals in skill building, offer crisis management, collaborate with other providers, assist individuals in navigating complex systems, and work with informal supports.
Key Responsibilities: 
<ul>
<li>Manage a caseload of clients consistent with industry standards, meet regulatory expectations/ guidelines and reflect our client population's needs. The exact number of clients may vary based on factors such as case complexity and the availability of support resources. The care manager is expected to maintain a balanced caseload for high-quality care and effective case management.</li>
<li>Provide comprehensive care management and care coordination, through face-to-face and telephonic services.</li>

Requirements:

<li>Self-identify as a person who has first-hand experience with mental health, substance use, and/or related behavioral health challenges.</li>
