MAJOR FUNCTION:
To provide effective and efficient advocacy service as part of the induction process
including program interviews, ascertaining information and orientating prospective
residents in the Odyssey House admissions process.

2. Make sure all documents are included in new charts prepared prior to transfer.

6. Obtain medical and psychiatric clearances when necessary.
7. Participate in outreach engagements.
8. Develop files on new inductions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

WHAT YOU’LL DO
&nbsp;
The Quad Preparatory School is looking for a Floating Psychosocial Teacher for our Upper School. Duties include:
<ul>
<li>Provide milieu-based support throughout the school day to monitor and address student behavior</li>
<li>Provide support to students, teachers and clinicians regarding student needs, staff and student safety, and assisting with positive behavior interventions</li>
<li>Individual would report to the Assistant Head of School</li>
<li>Support student arrival, lunch and dismissal processes</li>
<li>Uphold program-wide student positive behavior plans and school safety protocols</li>
<li>Support teaching and clinical staff in managing student behavior and following Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) protocols during crises</li>
<li>Take direction from clinical team and administration to support student interventions</li>
<li>Assist clinical team in the implementation of bullying protocols and restitution tasks
<ul>
<li>The process includes, but may not be limited to:communicating reason for behavioral consequence with the student, supporting reintegration into the room, assisting with de-escalation of dysregulated students</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Participate in staff and team meetings regularly to communicate student needs and progress</li>
<li>Serve as collaborator with all staff; keep personnel informed of relevant information regarding students</li>
<li>Conduct daily walk throughs of the campus to ensure school expectations are being met</li>
<li>Work with staff and students to promote building maintenance and cleanliness, emphasizing executive functioning strategies and supports for student skill-building</li>
<li>Work cooperatively with school administrators, special support personnel, colleagues, and parents to deliver a fully-integrated, student-centered learning environment for each individual learner;</li>
<li>Participate in all training and staff development modules, including reading required books and articles on cutting-edge 2E and other educational developments;</li>
<li>Must be able to use GSuite, specifically Google Drive</li>
<li>Perform other duties as assigned</li>

Work Environment:&nbsp;
This job operates in a school setting. The school is located on the fifth and sixth floors of a building with an elevator. This role requires working in various locations around the school and occasional travel to the Lower School campus approximately two blocks away.

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and listen. This position is active and involves continuous standing, walking, and climbing stairs. The employee must be able to lift and/or move items above or around 100 pounds. Typing is required. Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:&nbsp;
This is a full-time exempt position in an educational facility that is open eight hours a day. Teachers, psychosocial teachers, and staff clinicians work ten months out of the year according to the academic calendar (late August to late June). Occasional evening or weekend hours may be required. In general, though, hours are Monday-Friday 8am - 4pm.&nbsp;

Compensation and Benefits:&nbsp;
Compensation is dependent upon experience and degree obtained.&nbsp;

Small Wonder Childcare is a year-round childcare program for children ages 6-24 months. It is designed to encourage active learning and meaningful engagement with others through a consistent classroom routine and nurturing teachers. Position Overview
We are seeking a self-directed, experienced, and energetic educator for an Assistant Teacher position in the Infant /Toddler Program for children ages 6-24 months old for an immediate opening. Candidate must have at least 2 years of experience working with infants and toddlers in a childcare setting.
Responsibilities:

<li>Set up and maintain a safe, healthy, nurturing classroom environment. Work collaboratively with the group teacher(s) to prepare and implement activities.</li>
<li>Communicate with parents and administrators in order to provide continuity and communication between home and school. Document and share the important milestones in their child’s day. Maintain a professional relationship with parents and respect confidentiality.</li>

Qualifications/Requirements:

<li>B.A./B.S. degree in Early Childhood Education or CDA credential preferred

<li>Or 9 college credits in Early Childhood Education and a study plan leading to an Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education&nbsp;</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Two years of experience as a group teacher or on the teaching staff in an infant/toddler child care program required.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Strong skills in early childhood development, including meeting the social and emotional needs of young children.</li>
<li>Strong oral and written communication skills</li>
