About This Opportunity
 The History and Political Science Department at Daemen University is seeking a qualified adjunct instructor for an introductory course in World History. The selected candidate will be responsible for teaching HST 105 (Introduction to World History I: From Antiquity to 1500), with oversight by the Chair of the History and Political Science Department to ensure compliance with departmental, curricular, and institutional requirements. This course will be offered in person on Daemen's Amherst campus on Tuesdays and Thursdays 1:00pm - 2:20pm. The candidate will be responsible for teaching Intro to World History I, the first of a two-course sequence in World History. The two-course world history sequence focuses on the peoples, forces and ideas that have shaped the way individuals have experienced (and still do experience) the world. The course's perspective is global and focuses on the origins and development, geographical context, and interactions of world cultures. In this course, we will focus on two key themes of early world history: 1) the ways in which different cultures emerged in response to the demands of their environmental surroundings; and 2) the ways in which different peoples began to increasingly interact with one another by 1500
