Description
The Kitchen Driver Picks up and delivers food items for the Kitchen by following detailed service routes in the Monroe County and surrounding areas using a van or diesel truck. This position requires exemplary customer service and attention to detail.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

<li>Before starting trip, walks around truck to observe any visual defects and checks operating systems such as brakes, horn, windshield wipers, lights, first-aid kits, emergency flashers; completes all required inspection sheets, turning them into appropriate personnel.</li>
<li>Loads cambro (insulated food carrier) units and meal components in full</li>
<li>Picks up and delivers food items and cambros by following prescribed service route and safety rules.</li>
<li>At end of route, checks truck interior, removing any waste items or trash.</li>
<li>Completes all driver logs and paperwork associated with pick-ups and deliveries in a timely manner. Turns all of this paperwork into appropriate personnel, as well as filing daily food delivery slips and paper delivery slips</li>
<li>Reports accidents immediately</li>
<li>When not scheduled to a service route or when the service route does not require a full eight hours to complete, assists as needed in any area of the kitchen or warehouse as directed by the supervisor.</li>
<li>As required, completes additional service routes other than the regular assignments.</li>
<li>Follows all sanitary and safety guidelines as required by government laws and Foodlink policies</li>
<li>Represents Foodlink in a professional manner whenever interfacing with customers, donors, volunteers and/or constituent providers all while wearing approved uniform.</li>

The Shipping Supervisor is responsible for coordinating the activities of the shipping team, strategizing logistics plans, and collaborating with other departments to meet company-wide objectives.

<li>Responsible for promoting a Safety Culture throughout the Facility</li>
<li>Managing and scheduling the work activities of the shipping team.</li>
<li>Ensuring that outbound shipments are processed promptly and stored correctly.</li>
<li>Maintaining records of all shipments.</li>
<li>Verifying shipments against invoices, orders, or other records.</li>
<li>Implementing safety procedures and standards in handling of goods.</li>
<li>Coordinating returns of merchandise and managing claims for damaged goods.</li>
<li>Utilizing logistics IT to optimize procedures.</li>
<li>Inspecting loading operations to ensure compliance with shipping specifications.</li>
<li>Monitoring inventory stocks and placing orders as required.</li>
<li>Handling and resolving any issues or discrepancies related to shipping.</li>
<li>Providing leadership, training, and support to the shipping team.</li>
<li>Implementing cost-reduction initiatives in shipping processes.</li>
<li>Responsible for Ensuring that the Food Safety Compliance Requirements for the Facility are consistently maintained</li>
<li>Responsible for Ensuring that a Safe Work Environment for all associates is consistently maintained. </li>

Physical Requirements:

<li>Prolonged periods of walking through a cold warehouse environment below 34 degrees for up to 8 to 10 hours daily.</li>
<li>Ability to walk through warehouse for up to 8 to 10 hours per shift. </li>
<li>Must be able to maintain attention for long periods of time with constant interruptions </li>
<li>Ability to live over 15 to 30 lbs multiple times a day</li>
