The Technician role is full time or part-time and is an hourly position based on needs of the business. Job Description About the role:&nbsp;The individual assigned to this position is responsible for managing the daily operation of the hydro station in a safe, reliable manner that allows the company to meet all regulatory and compliance requirements, while maximizing production. The Plant Manager operates from established and well-known procedures, performing duties independently with only general direction given. Decisions are made within policy constraints. As a front-line supervisor, the successful candidate must consistently demonstrate a high level of dedication to the establishment and maintenance of a safe work environment. A strong commitment to the implementation of all employee safety, public safety, dam safety, and environmental programs that may be instituted by the company is required. The Plant Manager is responsible for effectively and professionally communicating information to the Regional Manager and the Division Manager, direct reports, and personnel from all other departments within the company. The Plant Manager is also expected to communicate and coordinate with outside agencies, contractors, and members of the public in a professional manner that enhances and maintains the company’s image. &nbsp; Why Eagle Creek?

What you’ll do:
<ul>
<li>Oversight of assigned capital and expense projects:
<ul>
<li>Overall project safety.</li>
<li>Project development, execution oversight and closure.</li>
<li>Keeping accurate records.</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Support of plant operations and personnel including:
<ul>
<li>Direct plant employees in the operation and maintenance of generating units to ensure continuing high reliability and safety. Evaluate employee performance of assigned tasks and responsibilities.</li>
<li>Develop work schedules and make sure plants are properly manned as required. Monitor and coordinate call out responses. The Plant Manager will be required to respond to call out situations.</li>
<li>&nbsp;Provide support for Outage planning, scheduling, and contractor coordination.</li>
<li>Oversee the plant LOTO program and develop and maintain equipment specific LOTO procedures.</li>
<li>Report abnormal or emergency plant conditions to the Regional Manager. Take necessary corrective action in accordance with established policy.</li>
<li>Oversee the training of all plant personnel and verify that all required training is completed in a timely manner.</li>
<li>Prepare required reports for other company departments or outside agencies.</li>
<li>Oversee the daily upkeep of necessary plant logs and records.</li>
<li>Utilize river and weather forecasts, provide forecasted generation information for use in Day-Ahead bids to generation marketing.</li>
<li>Aid other company departments in preparing for and coordinating inspections, responding to information requests, supporting strategies for and negotiations of permit modifications and renewals, and preparing routine compliance reports and communications.</li>
<li>Sustain the morale and motivation of operations personnel and handle employee concerns as they arise.</li>
<li>Work within budgetary guidelines and assist the General Manager and Division Manager with the development of yearly budgets and the tracking of expenditures.</li>
<li>Assist with the location, screening and hiring of operations and maintenance personnel.</li>
<li>Support equipment operation through the implementation of preventive, predictive, scheduled, and corrective maintenance planning and procedures. Utilize CMMS system to track and record maintenance activities.</li>
<li>Work to issue Purchase Orders for material and on-site work. Track expenditures versus approved budget and consult with the Regional Manager for any significant variances.</li>

What you’ll need:&nbsp;
<ul>
<li>A minimum of an associate degree in a technical or engineering discipline, or equivalent.</li>
<li>A minimum of 5 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment and a minimum of two years managerial experience. Hydro, steam, and/or gas turbine power plant operations is preferred.</li>
<li>Experienced in the use of personal computers and MS Office products.</li>
<li>Familiar with OSHA requirements and have completed OSHA 10-hour course (or will be completed upon successful employment).</li>
<li>Must be familiar with single and three electrical drawings.</li>
<li>Must possess a thorough understanding of 3-phase power generation.</li>
<li>Must possess the understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic control systems.</li>
<li>Ability to understand complex issues as they relate to plant operations.</li>
<li>Ability to work extended hours, if required.</li>
<li>Must have and maintain a valid state driver’s license.</li>
</ul>
Physical Requirements:&nbsp;
<ul>
<li>Ability to perform manual tasks including but not limited to:
<ul>
<li>The operation of hand and power tools and the ability to lift at least 50 lbs.</li>
<li>The ability to work in confined spaces that may be small and cramped.</li>
<li>Ability to work in hot, noisy, and dark environments, often alone and isolated.</li>
<li>Comfortability working at heights and around water.</li>
<li>Ability to work with and wear respiratory protection.</li>
<li>Reach with hands and arms above shoulder level and at shoulder level.</li>
<li>Walk, stand, stoop, kneel, and bend for prolonged periods of time.</li>
<li>Grip and manually manipulate, often in repetitive motion, items such as but not limited to hand tools and machine parts.</li>
<li>Read and identify labels, gauges, dials, and indicators typically encountered in performing job duties.</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Possess clear and effective verbal communication in all circumstances, including emergency situations and giving/receiving instructions over a radio.</li>
