The US Assistant Supervisor has supervisory responsibility for all US Youth Specialists at the shelter and is expected to provide some weekend coverage on a consistent basis. The position is designed to provide direct care services but with added authority in the absence of the supervisor. They are expected to maintain a team approach in carrying out treatment services, including the planning and development of conflict management initiatives.
Position Qualifications: 
Minimum high school diploma or equivalent; some college education preferred. A minimum of 6 months as a Youth Specialist at the Children’s Village or a minimum of one year of similar experience at another residential treatment center or equivalent childcare setting. A “Very Good” performance evaluation rating. Ability to manage and promote a therapeutic environment, taking into account the varying clinical and cultural needs of each youth. Implementation of new programs that have enriched the treatment milieu. Written documentation must be clear and appropriate. Valid Driver’s license. Bilingual and Biliterate in English and Spanish.

As a counter sales associate, you will support the sales of electrical, HVAC, and plumbing products at our counter in New Hyde Park.
 
This is a full-time, Monday to Friday, on-site position. Schedules between 7:00am to 5:00pm.
 
Salary Range: $17 - $22/hour

Counter Sales Associate Responsibilities :
<ul>
<li>Present and sell company products and services to new and existing customers.</li>
<li>Prospect and contact potential customers.</li>
<li>Reach agreed upon sales targets by deadlines.</li>
<li>Resolve customer inquiries and complaints.</li>
<li>Set follow-up appointments to keep customers aware of the latest developments.</li>
<li>Create sales material to present to customers.</li>

Counter Sales Associate Qualifications :

<li>Previous experience in sales, customer service, or other related fields</li>
<li>Familiarity with CRM platforms</li>
<li>Ability to build rapport with clients</li>
<li>Strong negotiation skills</li>
<li>Deadline and detail-oriented.</li>
<li>A valid and clean driver's license to travel to local vendors as needed. </li>
</ul>
Prior relationships with the vendors relevant to our industry/business (Electrical, HVAC, Motors, Plumbing, Pumps, etc.) is a big plus.
