The Job
Zachys is hiring a Auction Manager for its Auction Team. The Auction Manager organizes and oversees the execution of auction events in the Americas and of day-of-auction operations worldwide. 
Consignments
<ul>
<li>Develop leads and establish long term relationships with potential consignors and buyers for Auction and Retail
<ol>
<li>Negotiate consignments for live and online auctions</li>
<li>Solicit and guide buyers for live, online auctions and retail; proactively advise clients on bidding and buying</li>

<li>Oversee progress of consignments from appraisal stage through post-auction </li>
<li>Organize and manage all buyer pre-sale and post-sale outreach for US sales – CS Specialist </li>
<li>Oversee contract creation and periodically review approvals/information needed for all types of consignment agreements with global specialist team; train a second person to manage these requests – CS Specialist or Auction Administrator</li>

Events

<li>Create and host fine wine tasting dinners; analyze potential profitability of events </li>

DUTIES &amp; RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ensure the restaurant is clean and the ambience is just right

Run FOH without support from a salaried leader

Make sure every guest leaves a raving fan.

Provide high level guest resolution for any issues

Print and revise a menu if needed
</li>
<li>
Ability to work and support all FOH positions including host, server, back waiter, bartender and expo
</li>
<li>
Set up and shut down the FOH, delegating tasks for the most efficient operation
</li>
<li>
Cut appropriate personnel when slow and manage breaks daily
</li>
<li>
Communicate with team members and support/lead an effective pre-shift
</li>
<li>
Support the training and development of new hires and trails.
</li>
