JOB SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Resident Manager, the Porter is responsible for the upkeep of the common areas, pool areas, and the removal of trash.
REPRESENTATIVE FUNCTIONS OR DUTIES: • Physically walk the common areas on a frequent basis and remove litter, debris, building trash removal, etc.
• Ensure that all the pool areas, laundry rooms, mail rooms, dumpster areas and recreation areas always remain neat and free of litter.
• Assist with daily housekeeping assignments, including dusting, cleaning ovens, microwaves, stove tops and kitchen hoods, bathrooms, showers, bathtubs, appliances, kitchen and pantry, windows, mini blinds, and mirrors.
• Custodial work, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, trash removal, cleaning windows, etc. in common areas.
• Report items requiring major repairs to the Resident Manager
• Inspect and maintain all tools in excellent condition.
• Perform work area clean-up and safety-related duties.
• Adhere to all building safety procedures regarding the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as tasks dictate.
• Know and adhere to all federal, state, and local laws as well as all policies and building procedures.
• Reports to and collaborates with management of the facility related issues. • Works with management on all building and resident related issues
• Ensures standards of service and commitment • Perform limited extermination services when required. • Assist in snow removal when necessary. • Maintains regular attendance in the workplace. • Provides the highest quality of service to the tenants, staff, and visitors at the facility.

New York Law School (NYLS), located in the heart of Tribeca, seeks a Security and Safety Supervisor for the night shift of 11:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m. The Security Supervisor, under the supervision of the Manager of Security and Life Safety and the Vice President of Security and Community Affairs, will be responsible for training, supervising, and leading a security team of three to 10 security officers at our multi-building campus site during a tour of duty, along with a wide range of security and fire life safety tasks.
Responsibilities:
 
<ul>
<li>Enforce security, safety, and fire prevention guidelines while preventing theft and damage to law school and community property throughout the campus</li>
<li>Reporting any security, safety, or maintenance deficiencies to the appropriate personnel and/or department during each tour of duty</li>
<li>Writing detailed incident reports and/or other security-related reports</li>
<li>Communicating with law school personnel using handheld radio, email, and mobile technologies such as a cellular phone and/or a tablet device. Serve as a liaison to faculty, staff, and students when performing duties</li>
<li>Conducting daily, weekly, and monthly tests of security and life safety equipment and communications equipment</li>

<li>Maintaining the daily and weekly work schedule as changes occur and finding replacement coverage when scheduling gaps occur</li>

<li>Ability to obtain and maintain a NYS Security Guard License and First Aid and CPR/AED Certification within six months of employment, and a New York City Fire Life Safety Director Certificate of Fitness within one year of employment.
