Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
<ul>
<li>5+ years of progressive maintenance experience in an industrial setting with a High School diploma or equivalent is required. Additional schooling a plus. </li>
<li>Requires knowledge of industrial electrical systems and equipment along with mechanical abilities. </li>

<li>Ability to communicate effectively, (written and verbally) with peers, management, contractors, and vendors. </li>

This is a full-time, in-person role with a direct impact on both residents and staff.WHAT YOU’LL DO
<ul>
<li>Oversee accounts payable and receivable</li>
<li>Maintain accurate and compliant tenant files in accordance with HUD requirements</li>
<li>Show vacant units to prospective residents</li>
<li>Respond professionally to resident concerns and inquiries</li>
<li>Hire, train, and supervise all on-site property staff, including maintenance and leasing personnel</li>
<li>Conduct routine unit and property inspections</li>
<li>Manage property financials, including budgeting and forecasting</li>
<li>Ensure adherence to HUD rules, LIHTC compliance, and other housing regulations</li>
<li>Maintain knowledge of Fair Housing Laws, Landlord-Tenant Laws, OSHA standards, and state/local building codes</li>
<li>Serve as liaison with government agencies and ensure timely and accurate reporting</li>
<li>Maintain and manage the resident waitlist in accordance with policy</li>
<li>Conduct move-in and move-out inspections, following internal procedures</li>
<li>Interview applicants, verify income, and complete certifications to ensure program eligibility</li>
<li>Oversee and manage Enterprise Income Verification (EIV) system procedures</li>

<ul>
<li>In-depth knowledge of project-based Section 8, LIHTC, and other affordable housing programs</li>
<li>High school diploma or equivalent (college education a plus)</li>
<li>Minimum 5 years of experience in multi-family residential management</li>
<li>At least 3 years specifically in affordable housing management</li>
<li>Experience supervising staff, with strong team leadership skills</li>
<li>Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook</li>
<li>Proficient with Yardi or similar property management software</li>
<li>Experience with Section 8 voucher submission and EIV required</li>
<li>LIHTC and COS certifications are required</li>
<li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills</li>
<li>Ability to relate to diverse populations with professionalism and empathy</li>
<li>Self-motivated, organized, and able to prioritize multiple responsibilities</li>
</ul>

<li>Occasional lifting (up to 20 pounds)</li>
<li>Frequent stair climbing and walking across the property grounds</li>
