Position: Residential Aide

What The Residential Aide Does:

<li>Maintain professional relationships with clients and client confidentiality.</li>
<li>Practice Universal Precautions/Standard Protocol &amp; Procedures.</li>
<li>Comply with any and all Federal, State, City and CAMBA security and privacy polices intended to protect the security and privacy of individually identifiable health information.</li>
<li>Update and inform clients of program changes (i.e., food services changes, laundry assignments, etc.) through individual and group meetings.</li>
<li>Assist with client bed-check every evening.</li>
<li>Conduct dorm inspection to ensure client compliance with facility policies.</li>
<li>Intervene and diffuse inappropriate client interaction, as necessary.</li>
<li>Monitor clients’ behavior and report client changes in behavior or personal care to Supervisor and/or appropriate social services staff.</li>
<li>Ensure that clients receive personal care products and laundry products weekly, and replace any personal care items as needed.</li>
<li>Sort, count, and bag bed linens, blankets, and towels (may wash, dry and fold).</li>
<li>Distribute clean bed linens, blankets, pillows, and towels to clients.</li>
<li>Monitor clients' use of laundry facilities, including running new client’s belongings through the dryer.</li>
<li>Strip former clients' beds and lockers, sort, bag, label and document belongings, carry bags to storage area, and store bags for safekeeping.</li>
<li>Identify, sort, bag, label and document valuable client belongings (i.e., electronics, cash, documents, etc.) and give to Supervisor for storage.</li>
<li>Follow client belongings policy and retrieve personal property of former clients upon their return.</li>
<li>Escort clients, as needed.</li>
<li>Check food deliveries for quality and quantity of items and report any issues to Supervisor.</li>
<li>Prepare kitchen and dining facilities for mealtimes and clean up after each meal.</li>
<li>Heat and serve prepared foods according to Food Standards Policy (i.e., follow menu, set portion sizes, food service hygiene, check temperature of meals, etc.)</li>
<li>Store food according to the Food Storage Policy (i.e., check temperature of refrigerators, rotate food, etc.)</li>
<li>Prepare paper goods, setups and condiments for mealtimes.</li>
<li>Set up coffee and hot water urns before each meal.</li>

Job Skills and Requirements: 
<ul>
<li>Must be eligible to work in the US, and have a valid New York Esthetician License</li>
<li>Must be flexible to work consistent weekly shifts, evenings and rotating holidays, including minimum four (4) weekend shifts per month</li>
<li>Must be able to effectively deliver all menu services and “workouts” after successful completion of FaceGym bootcamp training</li>
<li>Must be able to stand for minimum 3 hours while performing consecutive workouts, and demonstrate safe practice of body mechanics and self-care techniques throughout</li>
<li>Must be consistently punctual, reliable, flexible, and dedicated to assigned work commitments</li>
<li>Must be willing to support across all locations when necessary, to further support and drive the business</li>

Pay Structure:

<li>Trainers are paid according to the standard pay structure of “hourly versus commission” wherein the gross earned weekly salary will be equivalent to whichever sum amount is higher – total service commission (which is issued at 18% of the pre-taxed menu price) or the total hourly pay for all clocked hours that fall under the ‘primary duty’ category of client service time (issued at $20 per hour) </li>

SUMMARY:
The Residential Aide assist with client basic needs. Individual will work in conjunction with the social services team to monitor and provide appropriate basic services in a homeless shelter. Proof of COVIV-19 vaccinations required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

<li>Complete intakes for new clients and provide orientation to the facility and DHS rules and regulations.</li>
<li>Serve meals and snacks to clients during meal times</li>
<li>Perform regular area inspections to ensure that shelter rules are adhered too</li>
<li>Monitor sitting areas, laundry rooms and cafeteria to ensure all clients are adhering to shelter rules</li>

<li>Document and track locks for all lockers</li>
<li>Maintain lock log</li>
<li>Assist with intakes</li>
<li>Assist clients with securing property within assigned locker</li>
<li>Store and remove client property from the client storage/locker area as appropriate</li>
<li>Relocate items and furniture as necessary</li>
<li>Assist security team as needed</li>

<li>Launder and fold all agency towels, wash cloths and shelter linens after clients have left the facility.</li>
<li>Follow laundry schedule to ensure that all used linens are washed and stored as appropriate. </li>
<li>Attend and participate in all required agency meetings: staff meetings, house meetings, in-service training and weekly/bi-weekly case review</li>
