The ideal candidate will have enthusiasm for working with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and a willingness to help with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as assisting with showering, toileting, grooming, laundry, and housekeeping as necessary. Residential support professional work directly with people in their homes, work, and daily life in varying capacities.

Responsibilities:

<li>Be familiar with individual's IPOP, Life Plan, Staff Action Plan, Behavior Plan, etc.in order to understand how care is managed.</li>
<li>Assist individuals with ADL and other independent living skills in accordance with plan documents. This assistance may take the form of full support, partial support or verbal prompting, as well as behavioral interventions as indicated in the behavior management plan. These tasks may include grooming, toileting, showering, housekeeping, budgeting, shopping, etc. all according to the support needs of each individual being supported.</li>
<li>Promote and advocate for individualized services and implementation according to the outlined plan.</li>
<li>Ability to follow a computer documentation program, in order to chart outcomes and observations including but not limited to staff action plans, behavior data, sleep charts, log books, etc.</li>
<li>Commit to person-centered supports and honor the personality, preferences, culture and strengths of the individual.</li>
<li>Ensure protective oversight is provided to individuals in accordance with their Plan of Protective Oversight.</li>

The Residential Coordinator assists in the planning and implementation of a rehabilitative, high expectancy program, and individually designed service plans for the adult population with mental illness and secondary problems in substance abuse, residing in one of MHA's residential programs. The five story facility has rooms for various sizes, common areas and provides on-site security and socials services to stabilize their conditions in order to successfully transition into permanent housing.

What The Per Diem Shift Supervisor Does:
<ul>
<li>Maintain professional relationships with clients and client confidentiality.</li>
<li>Practice Universal Precautions/Standard Protocol &amp; Procedures.</li>

Essential Functions: The Overnight Direct Support Professional (DSP) is a year-round position. In collaboration with the other departments, the DSP provides front line direct care for students and administrative support for daily operations. The DSP is responsible for guiding and mentoring students, assisting with emergency response procedures, and collaborating with all members of the Shrub Oak staff. As a coach and mentor, the DSP works closely with colleagues to create and maintain an inclusive community and foster specific skill development to meet the individualized needs of Shrub Oak’s student population. Having access to confidential information regarding Shrub Oak and its students, discretion and independent judgement is required. The DSP also actively assists with other programs, events, and services administered through Campus Life or Education, and can be involved in a wide range of responsibilities.&nbsp;

<li>Serve as a liaison between departments and other key offices pertinent to the day-to-day operations.</li>

<li>Explain, enforce, and support all policies and procedures to students, ensuring an inclusive and respectful community that promotes self-advocacy, collaboration, and independence.</li>

<li>Proactively work with students in crisis to de-escalate situations using SOIS protocol.</li>

<li>Facilitate on-campus and off-campus programming and community development based on the needs of each student as outlined by the student’s ITEP, faculty, clinicians, or Campus Life model.</li>
<li>Advise, support, and mentor students on various life skills and issues, collaborating with faculty and clinicians as necessary, and follow up with all issues regularly.</li>
<li>Support the individualized ITEP and other developmental goals for each student, collaborating with the ITEP team and documenting efforts and progress.</li>

<li>Develop, present, track, and evaluate educational programs for students.</li>
