Job Description 
AHRC New York City is seeking Full-Time (35 hours per week) Direct Support Professionals (DSP) for their Bronx Day Program.
Pay Rate:&nbsp;$18 per hour&nbsp;plus a very generous and comprehensive Benefit packet. See additional Benefit information below.
In addition, Bonuses listed below are available depending on driving status and program needs.

$2,000 annually upon completion and passing of AHRC Defensive Driving class
</li>
<li>
$2,000 annually upon completion of AMAP training.
</li>
</ul>
Schedule - Monday - Friday 8:30am to 3:30pm.

Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Work with participants by assisting them to learn and develop social skills, daily living skills&nbsp;and habits.</li>
<li>Accompany participants&nbsp;to appointments, community outings, and other activities.</li>
<li>Complete progress notes and make entries into the daily log book.</li>
</ul>
Qualifications 
<ul>
<li>Personal and/or Professional experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred.</li>
<li>Drivers License for more than one year in good standing preferred</li>
<li>Ability to communicate both orally and in written form in English.</li>
<li>Knowledge of Home and Community Based Waiver, and the ability to keep up to date pertaining to such knowledge, and interpret same.</li>
<li>Understanding of Person Centered Planning.</li>
<li>Ability to establish and maintain a working relationship with program participants, families, staff and community agencies.</li>
<li>High School diploma or GED is required.</li>
