DUITES: This position requires the performance of social work in helping patients with social, emotional and related difficulties associated with their disability. The work is performed within prescribed routines with leeway permitted in determining the scope of work to be performed in helping the patient adapt to old or new environments. The Staff Social Worker functions under the general direction of a supervising social worker. Employees in this class are expected to meet with professionals in or outside of the community to obtain assistance and guidance for patients; does related work as required.
 
 
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Possession of a professional license and current registration issued by the NYS Education Department as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW); OR Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW).

Position Summary: Assist physician with duties necessary to support the needs of the practice working within and to the maximum scope of license Education, License &amp; Cert: LPN ‐ license based on corresponding position location Experience: One‐year experience in healthcare field preferred but not required Essential Functions: 1. Directs patient to exam room and prepares patient for exam or treatment by identifying height, weight, respirations, blood pressure, temperature, additional testing, and records same on chart. Will also interview patient to obtain history allergies, reconciles medication list and records on chart as requested.

<li> Assists in smooth departmental operation by filling in for other LPNs, clinical assistant and MOA's as requested. Answers telephone and performs other clerical functions as necessary (screen calls according to urgency and need). Must train and maintain proficiency in the use of computer equipment and other computer program training as requested. <li> Attends to exam and procedure rooms, including assurance that proper supplies are on hand, maintain order and cleanliness. Order medications or clinical supplies for the department as requested.</li>

<li> Routes patient after exam to proper area for ancillary testing or follow‐up appointments, i.e. Blood work, x‐rays, and enter lab testing as requested.</li>
<li> Basic knowledge of medications (side effects/contraindications, etc.)</li>
<li> Be able to read and review pathology results with patients</li>
<li> Setup and tear down sterile fields</li>
<li> Basic knowledge of surgical instruments</li>
<li> Prepare surgical trays as needed for procedures for the day.</li>
<li> Assist surgeon with operative procedures both in the office and Operating Room if necessary</li>
<li> Maintain infection control measures including but not limited to proper cleaning of surgical equipment and use of autoclave</li>
<li> Proficient with autoclave sterilization process</li>
<li> Knowledge and proficiency of dressing changes and suture removal</li>
<li> Assess signs and symptoms of infection and reporting to surgeon and/or provider</li>
<li> Hepatitis checks and protocol to protect surgeon, patient, and nurse </li>
</ul>

PRN Registered Nurse – Patient Trainer (Non-Traditional Nursing Role)
 
Location Requirement: Must reside within 25 miles of Binghamton, NY
 
 
Position Summary:
This is a PRN (as-needed), non-traditional RN role focused on patient training and education rather than direct clinical care. As a Patient Trainer, you will instruct patients in their homes on how to use an INR (International Normalized Ratio) monitoring device to manage their blood clotting levels.
 
 
Key Responsibilities:
 
Schedule training sessions directly with patients or caregivers
Travel to patients’ homes within your assigned territory
Deliver one-on-one Face-to-Face® training on proper device use
Explain device features, data reporting methods, and available support resources
Accurately complete and submit session documentation (approx. 30 minutes per session)
Maintain timely communication with the company via phone, email, and online platforms
 
Schedule &amp; Availability:
 
This is a PRN (as-needed) role—no guaranteed hours
Assignments are offered weekly and may be accepted or declined
Trainers typically see 0–5 patients per week, depending on availability and demand
Flexible scheduling: sessions may occur on weekdays or weekends
 
Typical training session includes:
 
~1 hour of travel to the patient
~1 hour of training
~1 hour return travel
30 minutes of admin time
Assignments are auto-assigned based on roundtrip mileage from your home
When assignments are accepted, timely completion is expected
 
Compensation:
