In Flight Inc., is a nonprofit that provides support services within a home environment and the community for adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD).
 The Human Resource Department has an opening for a Trainer. This is a 30-hour non-exempt position. The Trainer must be flexible and have the ability to work during the week as well as evenings and weekends when necessary. There is availability to arrange the schedule as needed. The HR office is in Red Hook, the Trainer will be working in Kingston, Saugerties, Red Hook and locations throughout Columbia County. This position reports to the Associate Director of Human Resources and works with the Training Coordinator.
Scope of Work Performed: Will work in collaboration with the Training Coordinator to facilitate In Flight’s training policies and procedures. Training will include, but not be limited to, courses mandated by the state of NY and OPWDD. These regular educational sessions include CPR, First Aid, Strategies for Crisis Intervention and Prevention - Revised (SCIP-R), Mandated Reporter Training, HIPAA, Sexual Harassment, etc. The Trainer will assist in conducting training programs for staff. The Trainer ensures licensing standards are met and that staff are trained in areas related to professionalism, job duties, and knowledge related to agency mission and goals. This position reports directly to Associate Director of Human Resources. 
Qualifications:

<li>Associate degree preferred or High School Diploma/GED.</li>
<li>Experience working with people with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities.</li>
<li>Must have valid NYS License and acceptable driving record based on agency standards. </li>

Duties:

<li>Coordinates with the Training Coordinator to be available for scheduled training. Looks for new and relevant trainings that can be incorporated into agency needs and future growth.</li>
<li>Works with the Trainer and Associate Director of Human Resources to give feedback on curriculum to promote retention and career growth including observing staff on shift.</li>
<li>Along with the Training Coordinator will oversee completion of 90 days on the job training checklist and work with Managers to provide additional training in line with DSP Competencies. </li>
<li>Retrains staff as deemed necessary and as directed by management.</li>
<li>Will be available evenings and weekends as needed to work with DSPs for observations and training. </li>
<li>Other duties as requested by the Vice President of Human Resources and/or Executive Director.</li>

POSITION SUMMARY 
The Conservation Fellowship offers a dynamic opportunity to work alongside the Conservation Communities team at the Open Space Institute (OSI). The Fellow will engage in a broad spectrum of activities that support OSI's mission to protect land for people and wildlife. Throughout the fellowship, participants will rotate through various OSI programs and departments, gaining hands-on experience working directly with conservation leaders in areas such as conservation real estate, park advocacy, stewardship, grantmaking, equity initiatives, operations, communications, legal transactions, and community engagement. Fellows contribute to meaningful conservation goals while developing skills and professional networks that advance their careers in environmental conservation.  
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES 
Fellows will work alongside OSI staff and work on projects related to some of the following:

<li>Land Program: Conservation real estate negotiations and acquisitions </li>
<li>Parks &amp; Policy: Access and improvements to urban parks and state parks and parks advocacy </li>
<li>Stewardship: Stewardship of protected lands and conveyance (sale, donation, easement assignment) of OSI-owned lands </li>
<li>Conservation Capital: Grants to organizations based on conservation science research for land protection and information dissemination throughout the conservation community to advance climate-based solutions </li>
<li>Equity: Projects assessing, communicating, and implementing established organizational equity values and practices </li>

ADDITIONAL FELLOWSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES 
In addition to the responsibilities at the Open Space Institute outlined above, the Conservation Fellow will have an opportunity to participate in professional development activities led by the RAY Fellowship Program. Activities may include:

<li>Communicating and building community with current and previous RAY Fellows. </li>
<li>Meeting with mentors both inside and outside the host institution. </li>
<li>Attending professional development webinars, trainings, and other opportunities to build knowledge and skills as scheduled.</li>
<li>Developing an action plan to support your growth as a leader in conservation. The action plan activity can include opportunities for self-reflection, planning, and assessing progress towards professional, personal, and leadership goals.</li>

Eligible Conservation Fellow applicants will:

<li>Have earned a Bachelor's Degree in a related field by July 2025 (we are not considering individuals with graduate degrees at this time).</li>

If relocation is necessary, OSI will cover up to $3,000 (before taxes) for related expenses as a stipend after the start date. OSI also offers training and professional development opportunities.

Career &amp; Employment Options, Inc. is an agency that provides transition services to school districts and ACCES-VR services to special needs students and adults.
 
We are currently in need of Full Time/Part Time staff person with vocational, special education, and employment experience background in Nassau County. The staff person will provide instruction to students in the areas of job-readiness, career planning, job-coaching, community access training, travel training, and services relating to transition for students in special education as well as individuals in department of labor work related programs.

Job Description
The staff person will provide a wide array of vocational/transition services that includes job development. These services are performed in the school districts as well as in the community. The position also requires that all documentation, billing and interactions with school districts, ACCES/VR, and WIOA grants are on time, follow appropriate procedures and documents are constructed with care and quality. We are currently in need of full and part time Special Education Teacher approximately 25-30 hours per week, during the school hour day. Salary range $21.00-$36.00 per hour based on education and experience.
Job Requirements
<ul>
<li>Must have at least 3 years working with individuals with disabilities</li>
<li>BA preferred - Working towards Masters.</li>
<li>Preferred: Certified Special Education Teacher, Certified School Guidance Counselor, MSW, Certified Rehabilitation Counselor, MBA. Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), ABA Therapist or BCBA. </li>
<li> Experience Human Service Professional.</li>
<li> Professional Business Attire Required.</li>

Job Duties
<ul>
<li> Provide students/clients with a positive environment and effective counseling to assist them in achieving their career and community goals.</li>
<li> Enable students/clients to be able to perform effectively in community-based worksites using the self-direction and other CEO instructional formats.</li>
<li>Develop job opportunities for students and work with our Department of Labor programs to develop businesses to engage with our students and adults.</li>
<li> Work with student/clients families to ensure that they are active participants in the employment process.</li>
<li> Effectively able to utilize and modify the CEO curriculum Career Services for each of the students they provide instruction for.</li>
<li> Provide information and goal activity for any CSE or ACCES/VR planning meeting.</li>
<li> Ensure documentation regarding activities that are planned have been implemented and reflect the documentation submitted.</li>
<li> Prepare and report on and implement transition documents and outcomes for all students. (career plans, employability profiles, etc.)</li>
