Your Opportunity + Impact
The Engineer functions as a technical leader and is required to have a Professional Engineer (PE) license and commensurate work experience. This position will coordinate overall design activities, project submission schedules, and will be responsible for additional Quality Assurance and Quality Control duties to help ensure the final products meet the technical requirements and goals of the client.
Key Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Prepares and reviews design computations, plan designs, and drawings.</li>
<li>Reviews submittals and coordinates project submissions.</li>
<li>Prepares and reviews specifications, draft letters, and written technical reports.</li>
<li>Completes inspections and field work assignments as needed.</li>
<li>Researches, reviews, interprets, and understands written regulations, code compliance, and permit requirements and applies them to design projects.</li>
<li>Maintains appropriate documentation of work and project records.</li>
<li>Possesses knowledge of Codes and Standards applicable to project designs.</li>
<li>Develops technically accurate, clean, and deliverable drawings.</li>
<li>Promotes, utilizes, and supports quality assurance and quality control processes to improve the quality of deliverables and reduce design errors and omissions.</li>
<li>Performs work within assigned budgets.</li>

Education + Experience
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in relevant Engineering field&nbsp;from ABET-accredited school, or related field of study.</li>
<li>Minimum of (5) years job-related experience.&nbsp;Transportation-related bridge design experience preferred.</li>
<li>Licensure/Certification: Professional Engineer (PE) required.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</li>
<li>Must have thorough knowledge of the design and development process of transportation bridge projects and knowledge of AASHTO and Design Manuals, Standards, Specifications, Engineering Software, and Microstation.</li>
<li>Understanding of and ability to prepare bridge design, bridge construction plans, and specifications. Including special provisions, and other related project documents.</li>
</ul>
Preferred Qualifications
<ul>
<li>Proficiency with Microstation, Open Roads, InRoads (Surfaces and Templates), and other related software programs preferred.</li>
<li>Must have a strong desire to expand knowledge base and undertake new responsibilities.</li>
<li>Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)</li>
<li>Possess strong oral &amp; written communication skills, and have strong organizational &amp; time management skills</li>
<li>Must be able to work both independently and as part of a project team.</li>

 Pre-Sales Support 
<ul>
<li>Work with Account Managers to assess customer needs</li>
<li>Deliver software demos and technical presentations</li>
<li>Provide input on solution recommendations during the sales cycle</li>
<li>Analyze customer workflows, business needs, and infrastructure to recommend well-suited solutions. </li>
<li>Partner with the Account Manager to develop strategies that support growth and long-term engagement</li>
</ul>
Technical Support 
<ul>
<li>Provide support to end-users of Ansys Fluent and CFX via phone, email, or in person</li>
<li>Troubleshoot issues and ensure timely resolution</li>
<li>Collaborate with support managers to uphold service excellence</li>
</ul>
Consulting 
<ul>
<li>Scope, quote, and perform projects based on customer requirements including meshing, assigning boundary conditions, solving, and post-processing</li>
<li>Deliver technical reports and other documentation as requested</li>
</ul>
Technical Training 
<ul>
<li>Deliver Ansys training online, on-site, and at SimuTech offices</li>
<li>Tailor sessions to user skill level and application focus</li>
<li>Support customer enablement through ongoing learning opportunities</li>

<li>Eligible for (or willing to pursue) Canadian Professional Engineering (P.Eng.) licensure</li>
