United Ag &amp; Turf NE is looking for a Parts Manager. The candidate will oversee the parts department, managing inventory levels, ensuring timely ordering of parts, providing excellent customer service, and leading a team of parts specialists to maintain optimal stock and sales of parts.
 
What You’ll Do
<ul>
<li>Supervise and motivate a team of parts specialists, assign tasks, and ensure efficient operations within the parts department</li>
<li>Interact with customers to identify their parts needs, providing information about available parts, and processing orders</li>
<li>Promote parts sales to customers and identify potential sales opportunities</li>
<li>Control the investment in inventory according to turn rate and level of obsolescence and the goals set annually in the company’s financial plan</li>
<li>Tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) related to parts sales, inventory levels, and costs, generating reports for management</li>
</ul>
Requirements:

 Our Cortland, NY forestry team seeks a highly-motivated, full-time Forestry Technician to join our progressive, growing team. The ideal candidate would be located within 30 miles of Cortland, NY. A two-year or four-year degree in Forestry or closely-related field is required, or applicant must have 2+ years of practical field forestry/timber procurement experience. Interviewing timeline: March - May 2025 Hiring timeline: May June 2025 Principal Duties Include:

<li>Timber inventory (cruising)</li>
<li>Timber sale preparation (timber marking)</li>
<li>Forest data collection, including GPS and photographic information</li>
<li>Other duties related to forest management for our long-term clients</li>

Principal Requirements include:

<li>An Associate's (or higher) degree in Forestry, Forest Technology, or a closely-related field, or 2 years minimum of practical field forestry experience is required.</li>
<li>Individuals with a B.S. degree in Forest Science/Forest Management, Natural Resources, or Environmental Sciences are strongly encouraged to apply.</li>
<li>Must be competent in tree species identification, and with forest mensuration techniques, including point sampling, plot sampling, and 100% inventory methods.</li>
<li>Basic knowledge of common computer/office software.</li>
<li>Self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment.</li>
<li>Ability and willingness to work out of town as assigned for 1-2 week time periods.</li>
