ABOUT THE ONSITE &amp; SPECIAL PROGRAMS DEPARTMENT
DOROTs Onsite &amp; Special Programs department provides diverse, impactful classes, workshops, cultural events and other presentations for our community of over 4,000 adults ages 60 to 100+. Whether online via Zoom, over the phone, or in person, our programs promote health and wellness, lifelong learning and enrichment, creative expression, and meaningful social connection.
 ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
The Program Coordinator is responsible for coordinating University Without Walls (UWW), DOROTs flagship teleconference program for older adults. This position involves a rich combination of responsibilities that help us shape and deliver programming that best meets constituents interests and needs, including developing diverse and engaging program content, building positive and productive community relationships, and having direct communication with our older adult community. The successful candidate will be creative, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic about developing programs for individuals who rely on the telephone for access to programs and social connection. 
 PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
<ul>
<li>Serve as a vital and proactive member of the Onsite and Special Programs team, contributing to the achievement of UWW program and constituent goals and the sharing of information between programs. </li>
<li>Plan and implement more than 150 teleconference programs annually on subjects related to art, culture, news, health and wellness, vision loss, bereavement, and more.
<ul>
<li>Gauge the ongoing demand for current programsand participants additionalprogram interests/needs.</li>
<li>Develop additionalopportunities for constituents to share their legacies, practice new skills, and connect with peers.</li>
<li>Cultivate relationships withfacilitators and cultural, health, social service,and educational organizations to produce new classes that expand the breadth of the UWW program. </li>
<li>Enhance program planning and design by reviewing and analyzing relevant data from DOROTs database and program evaluations. </li>

<li>Oversee the creation, printing, and distribution of the program catalog, including managing production schedule, draftingand reviewing copy, coordinating with DOROTs Advancement team, and communicating with outside printer on production and distribution. </li>
<li>Execute strategies to engage new and diverse facilitators and participants. This includes developing and conducting presentations and speaking to community groups. </li>
<li>Train and support volunteer and professional program facilitators by providing orientation, training, and feedback to support best practices for engaging older adults and building social connections in teleconference programs.</li>
<li>Collaborate with other DOROT departments for participant support and program planning, including:

<li>Conferringwith DOROTs Supportive Services staff to address older adults needs for social work interventions, referrals, or other supports. </li>
<li>Developing targeted marketing and outreach strategies for participant recruitment.</li>

<li>Train, mentor, and supervise office volunteers and interns to ensure that UWW practices and protocols are understood and carried out with professionalism and excellence.</li>

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

<li>Prior experience with Salesforce, MailChimp, or Marketing Cloud a plus. </li>
<li>Prior experience with InDesign, Photoshop, and Canva a plus.</li>
<li>Ability to research, source, and vet event spaces and an interest in staying current on new venue openings in major US cities. Existing familiarity with restaurants and event spaces in New York, DC, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Miami, and other major US cities preferred; international experience a plus.</li>
<li>Ability to research, and vet market conferences that the team may wish to attend a plus.</li>

Location: Inpatient Facility - Saranac Lake, NY
Positions: Full-time Clinical Aides
Shifts/Schedules Available:

<li>Tuesday-Saturday, 2:00pm-10:00pm</li>
<li>Monday-Friday, 7:00am- 3:30pm</li>

Pay Range:$15.50/hour to $22.00/hour
 
Position Summary: The Clinical Aide I works under the supervision of the Clinical Aide Coordinator/Designee. Responsible for assisting residents to become accustomed to the residential routine and encourages them to participate in social and recreational activities to promote recovery. Monitors the residential milieu for attendance and accountability purposes.
Education and Training: High school graduate or equivalency. It is preferred that candidates hold a valid NYS drivers license and be able to be insured by an insurance carrier.
Experienced Work Knowledge: Experience/training with working effectively with individuals challenged with substance use disorder and co-occurring disorders. 
Physical Demands: No Extraordinary physical demands.
Essential Duties:

<li> Orients new residents to the facility, local surroundings, and resident guidebook.</li>
<li> Helps residents to adjust to community living without the use of alcohol/drugs. </li>
<li> Monitors assigned programmatic activities and provides assistance to residents/staff as necessary.</li>
<li> Prepares a written observational report on attitudes, behaviors, and pertinent events and inputs into agency documentation systems (EHR, Yammer, etc.). </li>
<li> Provides assistance to residents concerning growth and sobriety issues. </li>
<li> Performs additional duties which help to ensure the quality of the resident services provided by the center as required by the Clinical Aide Coordinator/designee.</li>
<li> May be designated to train new Clinical Aide I candidates.</li>
<li> May Interview residents upon admission and complete the residents admission and admission packet.</li>
<li> May assist in driving residents within the community.</li>
<li> Performs resident searches on the person and facility when assigned.</li>
<li> Responsible for resident rounds making sure all residents are accounted for.</li>
<li> Reports activity to the treatment team.</li>
<li> Supervise and document UDS/ Breathalyzer screens.</li>
<li> May perform other duties as assigned.</li>
