Pay Rate: $20.00 - $23.00


Job Summary:

The Inventory Specialist will work on a 6-8 week project, directly collaborating with our cost accountant to identify, locate, and scrap obsolete inventory items throughout our facility while adhering to our high-quality standards and following all safety and company guidelines.



Job Duties:

  • Collaborate with the cost accountant to identify obsolete inventory items using company systems and reports
  • Physically locate obsolete parts throughout warehouse/storage areas using inventory management systems
  • Safely retrieve and transport obsolete inventory to designated scrap/disposal areas
  • Accurately document all items moved, including part numbers, quantities, and locations
  • Maintain detailed records of disposal activities for accounting and audit purposes
  • Organize and prepare obsolete parts for proper disposal or recycling according to company procedures
  • Assist with inventory reconciliation as needed
  • Follow all safety protocols when handling materials and operating equipment (forklifts, hand trucks, etc.)
  • Communicate regularly with cost accountant on project progress and any discrepancies found
  • Perform additional tasks and responsibilities, as needed, to support team and business objectives.

Role Requirements

  • Must be eligible to work in the United States.
  • Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.
  • High school diploma or equivalent. Associate's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in inventory management
  • Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms)
  • Fluent in Microsoft Office, with intermediate Excel skills
  • Must be able to perform physically demanding tasks, including standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, climbing, and working in various environments, including confined spaces, heights, and areas exposed to noise, dust, and temperature variations.
