CAMBA’s Food and Nutrition contract, funded by Ryan White Part A, will provide inclusive and culturally mindful food services that include Congregate Meals, Self-Selected Food Pantry Bags, Food Vouchers, Cooking Demonstrations, Nutrition Groups and one-on-one nutritional services to 250 HIV positive individuals and their minor children who are residents of NYC and who meet the financial eligibility. The program is closely aligned with research provided by Food is Medicine. All enrolled clients will meet with our Registered Dietitians and Nutritionists for an Assessment and the completion of a Comprehensive Treatment Plan to address their food and/or nutritional needs. Clients identified as having special nutritional needs will receive appropriate services including Individual Nutritional Counseling and Group Nutritional Education. Through nutritional counseling, cooking demonstrations, and community nutrition education groups, clients will learn about meeting their own unique nutritional needs and ensuring proper nutrition and diet while managing co-morbid conditions and treatment adherence. In counseling sessions, clients will set nutritional goals and make specific plans to achieve them. The program staff will ensure that clients are connected and remain in HIV Primary Care to continue receiving services under this contract.

What The Program Manager/Registered Dietitian Does:

Rome Health is seeking a Per Diem Registered Dietitian to join our amazing and talented Food and Nutrition staff. Candidate must understand Diet office procedures. Knowledge of dietetic principles and procedures. Ability to use appropriate criteria to plan nutritional care standards. Ability to provide nutritional counseling for patients and their families. Knowledge and ability to make appropriate entries in medical record. Knowledge and verbal ability to communicate dietetic practices , principles and theories to medical personnel. Knowledge of modified diets as well as dietary restrictions. Knowledge to address the needs of clients with various medical conditions. Education: B.S. Degree in nutrition. Registration with A.N.D. ( R.D.) 
Licenses: Registered Dietitian Required, CDN in NYS preferred/ 
Hours: As Needed.

Job Description
The Registered Dietitian (RD) works collaboratively with medical, residential, school, food service, and other ancillary staff to ensure quality nutrition and dietary services.&nbsp; Monitors and evaluates aspects of the agency to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to nutrition and dietary services, Child Nutrition Program (CNP), and food sanitation issues.&nbsp; Responsible for ensuring staff training is provided as indicated to assure compliance.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
QUALITY OF LIFE EXPECTATION FOR ALL STAFF:&nbsp;
To actively further the agency’s mission to optimize quality of life (QofL) for individuals served by monitoring and implementing systems that promote the QofL of the individuals in our care.&nbsp;&nbsp;
 Pay Range: $68,000.00 - $72,000.00 Annual Salary; Based on experience.
 Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>The RD oversees the performance of the DT/Nutritionist.</li>
<li>The RD completes and/or oversees the completion of nutrition assessments for residential individuals.</li>
<li>The RD evaluates individual’s dietary intake for adequacy as necessary.</li>
<li>The RD assesses and evaluates individuals' unplanned weight changes and applies nutrition interventions as indicated.</li>
<li>The RD follows the procedures outlined in the agency’s Special Diets and Nutritional Therapies Standard Operating Procedure (HCS-15) to ensure appropriate staff training is completed for medically prescribed diets.</li>
<li>The RD provides staff training on nutrition-related issues.</li>
<li>The RD is a member of each individual's Treatment Team and provides input on issues related to nutrition and/or dietary concerns and assists in researching available alternate food choices when necessary.</li>
<li>The RD ensures routine residential meal observations are conducted biannually.</li>
<li>The RD assists with the development of all cycle menus and is the resource person for the COO, Food Service Supervisor, and other staff in providing quality, nutritious, and safe foods.</li>
<li>The RD maintains the individual's nutrition files per agency direction in electronic format and/or hardcopy record located in the Nutrition office.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</li>
<li>The RD coordinates and/or participates in nutrition and health related meetings and special functions.</li>
<li>The RD reviews pre-admission record and provides input on whether or not the agency can accommodate prospective individual’s nutrition and or dietary needs.</li>
<li>The RD provides oversight and leadership to the Dietary Department.</li>
<li>The RD assists with other duties as requested by the Health Services Coordinator, Director of Children’s Services and/or the COO.&nbsp;</li>
<li>The RD assists the kitchen staff by serving lunch and supporting with other miscellaneous tasks to ensure a smooth operation of meal services and promote a healthy eating environment.</li>

 REQUIREMENTS:&nbsp;

Bachelor's or master’s degree in nutrition or food service management.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
</li>
<li>
Registered Dietitian (RD) credential conferred by the Commission on Dietetic Registration and New York State license for Certified Dietitian/Nutritionist (CDN) issued by the New York State Education Department are required.&nbsp; Will consider RD or CDN eligible candidates with qualified experience.&nbsp;
</li>
<li>
The qualified candidate must be knowledgeable of Child Nutrition Program (CNP) and New York State Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) regulations, proficient in computer skills (e-mail, Word, Excel), have effective oral and written communication skills, and have 3-5 years of experience preferably in a residential childcare setting.

 The Adult Day care in the Bronx is seeking a part time ( 22.5 hours per week) Registered Dietitian to join our team! This position will sit in 120 West 106th Street, NY, NU 10025. Work schedule is Monday to Friday 9:30 am to 2:30 pm. This position has a potential for full time as the program grows. 
Job Summary: 
Maintains all clinical nutritional services for residents in each community. Acts as liaison between Nursing and Food and Nutrition staff. The function of the position actively incorporates the Mission and Vision of the New Jewish Home.
Duties and Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li> Makes initial nutritional assessment of clients; reassesses and revises assessment at least quarterly or more frequently if necessary.</li>
<li>Attends and participates in the Interdisciplinary Care Plan Meetings. </li>
<li>Evaluates nutritional care and provides follow-up as needed for continuity of care. </li>
<li>Assists in the development and presentation of in-services and nutrition education materials for clients as needed.</li>
<li>Plans, calculates, and modifies normal and special diets as prescribed by physician’s orders.</li>
<li>Monitors diet prescriptions with physician orders and modifies as needed. </li>
<li>Is available for diet counseling. </li>
<li>Assists the community in PI programs/audits. </li>
<li>Assists in the development, implementation and revision of cycle menus for general and therapeutic diets.</li>
<li>Must understand and respect cultural and religious beliefs of residents served.</li>
<li>Other duties as assigned. </li>

 Requirements:
