The Internal Medicine Coordinator provides essential support to all Internal Medicine Services, primarily on weekends and as needed for service gaps. This role ensures seamless coordination of patient care, client communication, appointment management, and procedural support across all Internal Medicine areas. The Internal Medicine Coordinator also performs post-procedure callbacks to ensure continuity of care. This role is critical to improving IM Service workflow, maintaining communication standards, and enhancing client and referring veterinarian (RDVM) satisfaction.

<li>Confirm appointments, manage and maintain waitlist </li>
<li>Obtain and attach medical records for inpatients and upcoming appointments </li>
<li>Review and audit upcoming appointments to ensure all requirements are met </li>
<li>Respond to doctor requests, rescheduling appointments, and handling time-sensitive follow-ups </li>
<li>Follow up with clients after hospitalization or procedure discharge </li>
<li>Keep RDVMs informed and updated as needed </li>
<li>Assist doctors in submitting prescriptions or calling pharmacies for approval </li>
<li>Send medical records to owners and RDVM upon request </li>
<li>Assist with presenting estimates; support clients in accessing financial assistance when applicable </li>
<li>Must be able to work with sensitive information and maintain confidentiality </li>
<li>Responsible for front desk responsibilities such as, but not limited to client check-in and check-out which includes patient registration, admission and discharge </li>

AFC seeks an energetic Staff Attorney determined to make a difference for NYC families struggling to gain appropriate educational services for their children in the country's largest school district during an unparalleled time of difficulty for low-income families of children with disabilities.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
The focus of this Staff Attorney position will berepresenting families with children with disabilities in administrative proceedings in order to obtain services that are the difference maker in a child's future.The day-to-day responsibilities of this position include conducting intake, reviewing school records and psychological evaluations, engaging with and advocating before school staff, and exploring schools and services that may serve as potential remedies. The Staff Attorney will draft and file due process complaints that culminate in special education hearings, where the attorney will present and argue the student's case through evidence and witness testimony, and any legal briefing required to prevail.

Compensation

About the Role

The total target base compensation for this role will be between $48,000 and $70,000 per year at the commencement of employment.
