The Glen Oaks Club is known for providing its members with an exceptional and personalized experience. For nearly 100 years the Glen Oaks Club has been evolving to maintain its stature as a home away from home for its member families.
 
Summary: Provides complete services for members and their guests relating to handling of bags, golf carts and driving range operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
<ul>
<li>Performs all duties according to the daily procedures set by the Golf Department.</li>
<li>Prepares all golf carts for the day’s play. Ensures carts are clean and stocked with pencils, scorecards, towels, sand and sand scoops.</li>
<li>Maintains cart storage building and surrounding areas in a neat, organized manner.</li>
<li>Monitors areas periodically throughout the day to ensure that they are neat and orderly.</li>
<li>Obtains a daily starting sheet and lesson sheet for the day’s activity.</li>
<li>Sets up all groups &amp; lessons one hour in advance.</li>
<li>Cleans carts upon completion of play and places on charge if it is not to be used for a second time that day.</li>
<li>Rotates each golf cart as designated by the golf cart mechanic.</li>
<li>Washes clubs upon completion of play and puts them in the proper place. Ensures that bags are placed in storage or stored until the member or guest leaves and places it in the member’s vehicle. Ensures that no member or guest handles his/her own bag.</li>
<li>Notifies Management if any vehicle has been taken without proper registry.</li>
<li>Ensures that all clubs taken off property which have bag storage are logged out and have the member sign out for it. Returned clubs must be logged in with member’s signature.</li>
<li>Notifies the Cart Mechanic of any mechanical problems and assists the Cart Mechanic in all non- technical aspects of the maintenance of vehicles.</li>
<li>Opens driving range to ensure that it is ready for use at the posted opening time.</li>
<li>Ensures that all comfort stations are neat and fully stocked.</li>
<li>Maintains driving range throughout the day by checking comfort stations and chipping greens for neatness and stock levels.</li>
<li>Closes driving range and chipping greens and sets up for next day operation.</li>
<li>Picks up balls from driving range and collects trash to ensure neatness and cleanliness.</li>
<li>Assists in all special events of the Golf Department.</li>
<li>Assists all staff members in enforcing policies, procedures and services to our membership.</li>
<li>Communicates with members, co-workers, management and the general public in a courteous and professional manner.</li>

RESPONSIBILITIES

Job Summary (Essential Functions): 
Golf Services staff members will be required to do a variety of jobs and tasks that will
vary on any given day. Roles include golf cart fleet, bag room, practice tee and bag drop
operations. Member service and hospitality are the focus point every day regardless of
assigned role. Oak Hill's goal is to create a golf experience that exceeds our member's
and guest's expectations while adhering to the vision of the golf department.

Duties &amp; Responsibilities:
Bag Room and Push Carts
○ Monitor daily play spreadsheet on the bag room computer for golf bags that need to be brought up
○ Pull golf bags from the appropriate bag slots and put on proper mode of
 transportation
○ Assist receiving with storing golf bags that have returned from play and help clean dirty clubs
○ Member service areas both inside and around the Golf Service Center
○ Monitor push carts and make sure there are always enough staged for daily play
○ Push carts should be staged trash-free with a clean towel, full sand bottle, and water bottle
Receiving &amp; Short Game Area
○ Greet groups as they come off the course and assist members/guests with their golf bags
○ Move used clubs to far side of alcove for clubs to be cleaned
○ Clean all clubs in the bag and move to opposite side of alcove to indicate they are ready for storage (if guest bag take wherever directed, usually to Bag Drop for pick up)
○ Store member golf bags in their corresponding slots: the golf bag slot number is on their member tag and on our bag storage chart
○ Monitor short game practice area and clear greens of yellow practice balls when they start to fill up
Golf Cart Fleet
○ Monitor golf cart staging areas and bring golf carts down as necessary
○ Golf carts should always be staged with the key in the off position
○ Bring used golf carts to the top of the Cart Storage Facility for cleaning, once cleaned restage if necessary or park in spot that corresponds to the number on the golf cart
○ Ensure all staged clean golf carts have 2 full sand bottles, 2 wet towels, 2 waters and ice in cooler, a pencil with writing facing out, 6 tees, and an appropriate scorecard on the steering wheel
Bag Drop
○ Golf Service Center staff will relieve the Caddie Manager in the afternoon daily at the Bag Drop
○ Communicate with members/guests as they arrive and obtain group &amp; transportation information. Be welcoming and hospitable, Bag drop is most often the first point of interaction for members and their guests
○ Enter correct information into the daily play spreadsheet to allow other areas of the operation to complete their responsibilities
○ Return supplies to the Golf Service Center every night as part of the closedown procedure. Any golf bags left at the Bag drop at the end of the day should be brought to reception and a sign indicating their location will be placed on the podium
Practice Tee
○ Set up Practice facility every morning except non-tournament Mondays
○ Ensure bag stands are filled with tees and alignment rods, pyramids are straight, and the water cooler is adequately stocked
○ Monitor level of practice golf balls throughout the shift and pick the field as necessary
○ Replenish pyramids with clean golf balls and clear the deck of any golf balls when it can be safely done
○ When on grass set the Practice tee line as close down procedure to help the next morning's openers
Experience
<ul>
<li>Previous employment at a golf facility preferred but not required</li>
<li>Available at least 4 days per week and weekend availability</li>
</ul>
 
Licenses and Special Requirements

Physical Demands and Work Environment
