 JOB SUMMARY 
Under the supervision of the Associate Director IcePlex, the Part Time Facilities Technician is responsible for the repairs and general maintenance of all facilities and associated equipment including but not limited to ice re-surfacer, dasher boards, and glass. Additionally, the Part Time Technician will assess and consider the safety of staff, guests, students, and Company and/or College assets. This is an Academic Year position. 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 
<ul>
<li>Executes maintenance and repairs for all items assigned by the Associate Director, including but not limited to: ice re-surfacer, edger, floor machine, snow removal equipment, plumbing, and carpentry, electrical and other various mechanical.</li>
<li>Maintains corporate equipment including repairs and preventative maintenance</li>
<li>Works with contractors to ensure quality work and building maintenance</li>
<li>Provide daily ice maintenance using the ice edger, chopper, and ice resurfacing machines</li>
<li>Provides supervision to maintain the building, equipment, and ice</li>
<li>Ensures regulatory standards are met concerning the storage and use of cleaning supplies and chemicals</li>
<li>Provides daily opening and closing procedures, ensuring that all areas of the building are properly cleaned, resupplied and secured</li>
<li>Maintain proper temperature controls of the ice</li>
<li>Sharpen skates and repairs rental skates</li>
<li>Responsible for covering specified shifts of the pro-shop and Public Skate. Including but not limited to perform the duties of the sales clerk, responsible for cash drawer, receipts, and deposits and drop safe.</li>
<li>Assists with maintaining supplies &amp; equipment necessary for the job</li>
<li>Maintain daily logs for all preventative maintenance to minimize production loss time and maximize preventative maintenance effectiveness</li>
<li>Assists Management in preparing the annual Maintenance budget</li>
<li>Maintains accurate records and logs on all facility/utility maintenance activities</li>
<li>Snow and ice removal, as assigned</li>
<li>Available to work weekends and holidays as scheduled</li>
<li>Performs other duties as assigned</li>

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

<li>High School graduate or equivalent</li>
<li>Previous maintenance experience is a must</li>
<li>NYS Driver’s license is required</li>
