Job Path is seeking a part-time Residential Direct Support Professional (DSP) who is motivated, flexible, bright, energetic, responsible, and organized.&nbsp; The role of the DSP is to support people with a developmental disability in every way possible to facilitate personal growth and relationship building, as they emerge in their rightful place within the community.
We are specifically looking for DSPs who can provide support in Washington Heights for at least one weekday and on the weekends. We are specifically looking for people with availability from 7am to 3pm and/or 3pm to 10pm. Required trainings typically take place during the week, advance notice is given.

Position: Residential Aide Reports To: Shift Supervisor Location: 39 Ainslie Street, Brooklyn, NY, 11211 What The Residential Aide Does:

<li>Assist with client bed-check every evening.</li>

Transitional Congregate Housing Program 1: CAMBA’s Transitional Congregate Housing program started in 2007 and provides nine transitional units for the HIV/AIDS Services Administration (HASA) Emergency Placement Unit which are for single men and/or women only.&nbsp; Each individual has their own locked room and COBRA (Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act) is available to provide case management services.&nbsp; The program’s goal is to ready individuals for permanent housing placement through stabilization and self-sufficiency. : Emergency Transitional Congregate Housing Program 2: CAMBA’s Emergency Transitional Congregate Housing program provides ten units of emergency transitional congregate housing for single men and women who are HIV/AIDS Services Administration (HASA) clients.&nbsp; HASA is the sole referral source for this housing.&nbsp; Each individual has their own lockable room but shares common space such as the bathrooms, living room and kitchen.&nbsp; Clients receive case management and residential/operational services such as meals and assistance when they move to permanent housing. &nbsp;Case management support is an integral part of achieving the program’s goal of helping clients to attain self-sufficiency.&nbsp; This includes, but is not limited to, ensuring that clients are connected to and maintain primary health care; assisting them to find and secure permanent housing; and exploring and starting the process of returning to the workforce.&nbsp; A client stay is limited to six months. However, extensions can be granted by HASA.

What The FT Residential Aide Does:

The Youth Respite Worker will provide respite by involving the child(ren) in structured recreational and skill building activities while caring for the child in the community in absence of primary caregiver. The Youth Respite Worker is required to document contacts in a progress note and attend scheduled respite meetings.
Schedule is Monday – Friday: 11:30am - 7pm. Candidate must have some flexibility based on the client's schedule.
The pay rate for this position is $20.30.

Overview

The Residential Coordinator assists in the planning and implementation of a rehabilitative, high expectancy program, and individually designed service plans for the adult population with mental illness and secondary problems in substance abuse, residing in one of MHA's residential programs. These services will be individualized and client centered to enhance the functioning levels and quality of life of the client population. The position provides case management services to adults living in our residential program and teaches life skills that prepares them to live more independently in the community.&nbsp;The Coordinator will monitor medication intake and&nbsp;ensures consumers have a clean, safe and orderly environment within the residence.
The schedule for this position is&nbsp;Friday-Sunday 10p-8am.
The Overnight Residential Coordinator has a starting hourly pay rate of $19.20. In addition, overnight shifts have an additional differential of $2.

What The Per Diem Shift Supervisor Does:
<ul>
<li>Maintain professional relationships with clients and client confidentiality.</li>
<li>Practice Universal Precautions/Standard Protocol &amp; Procedures.</li>
<li>Comply with any and all Federal, State, City and CAMBA security and privacy polices intended to protect the security and privacy of individually identifiable health information.</li>
<li>Input client data using DHS’ CARES database, as needed.</li>
<li>Communicate effectively with clients, peers, supervisors, and funders.</li>
