This is a part-time position, but additional hours are available with other people receiving services at the agency.
 
Hours and days of work: She is looking for services on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays. During week she is looking for services 3-7 pm, and on Saturday 1-5 pm. Hours need to be in this time frame, due to her school and summer school schedule.

Role Summary: This position is responsible for supervising a unit within the Family Treatment and Rehabilitation (FT/R) program. The supervisor oversees all staffing functions including hiring, scheduling, case assignments, employee relations, and performance evaluations. Title: Residential Aide – Tier I 
Location: Brooklyn, New York 
FLSA Classification: Full-time, Non-exempt 
This position is non-exempt because the primary duties of Residential Aides do not require them to perform work which requires advanced knowledge in a field of science or learning customarily acquired by a prolonged course of specialized intellectual instruction and study. 
 
Role Summary: We are seeking a dedicated Residential Aide to ensure the safety, security, and well-being of both staff and clients at our work site. The Residential Aide will play a crucial role in maintaining a secure environment by enforcing house rules and operational procedures. 
Primary Job Responsibilities/Duties: 
The Residential Aide will be responsible for, but not limited to: 
<ul>
<li>Diligently monitor clients, units, dorms, and facilities to ensure the safety and security of each resident.</li>
<li>Enforce shelter policies and follow staff policies and procedures.</li>
<li>Perform essential administrative tasks, including maintaining detailed communication logs, documenting resident activities, behaviors, and engagement.</li>
<li>Provide assistance to clients, addressing questions, and promptly resolving any arising issues.</li>
<li>Thoroughly inspect all items entering the facility to guarantee the safety of clients and staff.</li>
<li>Monitor video footage of common areas such as hallways, staircases, and lounges.</li>
<li>Strictly adhere to safety, health, and fire hazard guidelines, organizational policies, and procedures, as well as the mission and values of the organization.</li>
<li>Conduct regular hourly rounds of the facility.</li>
<li>Report any immediate safety hazards promptly to appropriate supervisory or maintenance personnel.</li>
<li>Collaborate with security personnel to ensure the safety of both staff and residents in the program.</li>
<li>Prepare units for vacancies, including emptying, cleaning, and properly tagging client belongings when necessary.</li>
<li>Document all incident details, participants, actions taken, and outcomes accurately.</li>
<li>Flexibility in scheduling, including the possibility of working evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.</li>
</ul>
Physical Requirements: 
<ol>
<li>Ability to sit for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.</li>
<li>Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.</li>
<li>Must be able to travel to multiple NYC sites as needed.</li>
<li>Frequent bending, lifting, reaching, and extended walking. </li>
<li>Ability to climb stairs. </li>
</ol>
Work Environment / Schedule Requirements: 
<ol>
<li>Office setting with regular exposure to computer screens and moderate noise levels.</li>
<li>May be required to work shifts, including evenings or night tours and/or Saturdays, Sundays and holidays with holiday pay differential.</li>
<li>Employees are not permitted to leave their assigned posts/workstations without authorization.</li>
</ol>
Qualifications: 
<ul>
<li>NYS Security License preferred.</li>
<li>F-02 Certificate of Fitness.</li>
<li>CPR/Basic First Aid certification.</li>
<li>Food handler certificate NYC/NYS.</li>
<li>Ability to establish and maintain professional boundaries when working with residents.</li>
<li>Prior experience in a residential facility is advantageous.</li>
<li>Knowledge of HIPAA guidelines and standards.</li>
<li>Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.</li>
<li>Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.</li>
<li>Commitment to excellence and high standards.</li>
<li>Demonstrated good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.</li>
<li>Proficiency in assessing emergency situations and responding effectively.</li>
<li>Must be able to read, speak, write, and understand English for administrative purposes.</li>
<li>Must pass drug screening to be appointed.</li>
