POSITION OVERVIEW 
The Medical Director engages in the professional, organizational, and administrative activities of the provide quality care to clients based upon their medical and psycho-social needs. The Medical Director develops, implements, evaluates the medical practice delivery model in accordance with specific goals. KEY ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

<li>Participate in the comprehensive care planning, discharge planning, and client and staff development by providing ongoing medical training and education to staff.</li>

<li>Assess client’s need for hospitalization and consultation with client’s Primary Care Provider to include other care providers the patient is linked with and/or referred to.</li>
<li>Review all patient medication and, if indicated, prescribes medication in consultation with client’s Primary Care Provider upon patient need.</li>
<li>Provide the Program Director with reports on recommendations concerning the medical services.</li>
<li>Share in the administrative functions that directly impact medical services; collaborating with the management team in overall planning and budget activities; assuring delivery of quality care </li>

REQUIREMENTS
<ul>
<li> Active and unrestricted PHYSICIAN licensure to practice medicine in New York.</li>
<li>Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO).</li>
<li>Proof of completion of three (3) years of residency and fellowship (if applicable).</li>
<li>One year of related practice experience in substance use disorder.</li>
<li>Board certification in Addiction Medicine required must be obtained within 4 years of hire.</li>
<li>Application and/or maintenance of National Provider Identifier (NPI).</li>
<li>Active and unrestricted Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration.</li>
<li>Active and unrestricted DATA 2000 Waiver (buprenorphine) required.</li>
<li>NYS mandated Infection Control certification (NYS DOH approved; 4 hours, valid for 4 years).</li>
<li>Current Basic Life Support certification.</li>
<li>Knowledge of ICD-10 diagnosis and procedure coding. </li>

ADDITIONAL SKILLS
<ul>
<li>Current, relevant, and substantial knowledge of areas related to health center licensing and operations, e.g., legal/regulatory, administrative, policy, protocols, and other clinical issues, especially within a managed care environment, required.</li>
<li>One (1) year previous experience providing services and exercising leadership in a culturally and linguistically diverse setting that promotes interdisciplinary care planning, with demonstrated success.</li>
<li>Culturally aware and sensitive to the special needs of population.</li>
<li>Knowledge of common medication, side effects and contraindications.</li>
<li>Knowledge of legal medical guidelines and medicine best practices.</li>
<li>Excellent oral and written communication skills.</li>

Position Summary:
Identifying electrical structures, testing them for potential stray voltage using a standard fluke multi-meter and high-density voltage detector. Employee will be required to read a utility strip map, drive to location, then walk the outlined coordinates of utility poles both on and off-road surveying every pole. Position requires the ability to walk approximately 3-7 miles daily. Time management skills and the ability to work independently are essential functions of this position.
Upon successfully completion of training period employee will be promoted to a Level 1 Technician.
Essential Job functions:
· Visually examine utility pole structures using tools and equipment such as a standard fluke-multi meter and high-density voltage noting errant current, flaws in utility poles and other outlined criteria.
· Adhere to safety standards as defined by PPS's safety standards and procedures.

Position Qualifications:

· Valid Driver’s License for at least one year
· Ability to climb, balance, bend, stoop, squat, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, push and/or pull, twist and make repetitive hand movements. Ability to load, carry, lift, push and/or pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Sitting or standing for prolonged period of time required. Must have the ability to safely operate a motorized vehicle.
· Complies with all safety rules and regulations set forth by PPS
· Pass and retain Operation Qualifications as set forth by the utility companies’ standards, employment is contingent on the passing of Operator Qualifications during training 
· If any required OQ is failed upon requalification, the employee will be responsible to schedule training and testing which will be on their own time.
