Patient Care Technician – Labor & Delivery

$22–$25/hour (W2)
Full-Time | Various Shifts
Position Summary:
We’re hiring an experienced Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support our Labor & Delivery unit in Brooklyn, NY. If you're passionate about women's health and thrive in a fast-paced hospital setting, this is your opportunity to make a real difference.
Key Responsibilities:

Record vital signs, weight, and patient measurements

Collect specimens and conduct basic screening tests (dipstick, hemoccult, etc.)

Prepare and transport lab specimens

Assist with wound care, dressing changes, and first aid
-
Prepare rooms and assist medical staff during patient exams
-
Perform EKGs and phlebotomy (venipuncture & fingerstick)
-
Interview patients to obtain health history and update records
-
Answer patient inquiries, schedule appointments, and manage charts
-
Maintain inventory of unit supplies and support smooth operations
Must-Have Qualifications:

2+ years of recent Labor & Delivery experience
-
High school diploma or equivalent
-
AHA BLS certification (active)
-
Completion of NYS Department of Health–approved Phlebotomy training
-
Certified to perform Electrocardiographs (EKG)
-
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
-
Ability to work collaboratively in a clinical care team
