The ACT Program is seeking a creative, passionate, and enthusiastic Athletics Specialist to join our 2025 Summer Camp team. Ideal candidates will have at least two years of experience in a camp or school setting and a talent for engaging children ages 5–12 in non-competitive physical activities, team-building exercises, and skill-based lessons aligned with weekly camp themes.
Responsibilities include:
- Leading recreational sports and physical activities in both indoor gym and outdoor spaces
- Creating a fun, inclusive, and supportive environment for all campers
- Collaborating with fellow staff to integrate physical education into the overall camp experience
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2-years experience in youth recreation or physical education
- Strong classroom management and group facilitation skills
- Ability to adapt activities for a range of ages and skill levels
- Must complete required medical form, online trainings and fingerprinting clearance prior to start date
Schedule and Pay:
- Orientation Dates: June 21, 2025 8:30am-3:30pm & June 28, 8:30am-4:30pm
- Camp Dates: Mondays–Thursdays, June 30 – July 31, 2025 (not working July 4th and 9th)
- Starting Salary: $25/hour
