Location: Albany, NY

Pay: Starting at $40+/hour, depending on experience
Schedule: Monday - Friday, Day Shift (OT as needed)
Union: Local 158 Operating Engineers

Contractors Sales Company has been keeping New York's biggest projects moving for over 100 years - from the Thruway to the Albany Airport Connector. We're a well-established, family-oriented heavy equipment dealership seeking a Shop Foreman / Lead Technician who knows how to get the job done right.

What You'll Do
- Lead and support a team of shop technicians
- Schedule and coordinate repair jobs with the Service Manager
- Diagnose and repair heavy equipment systems (engines, hydraulics, transmissions, electrical)
- Oversee maintenance and repair schedules for customers and rental fleet equipment
- Ensure all work is performed safely, efficiently, and to high standards
What We're Looking For
- 10+ years in heavy equipment or diesel repair (minimum 5 years hands-on)
- 4+ years of leadership or foreman experience in a shop environment
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Must have own tools
- Ability to read and interpret hydraulic and electrical schematics
- Proficiency with laptop diagnostics and service software
- Team leader with a "no task beneath me" attitude
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs
- Field or road service experience is a plus
Equipment You'll Work On
Excavators, wheel loaders, drills, crushing plants, articulating trucks, hydraulic breakers, and road wideners - including brands like Link-Belt, Hitachi, Sandvik, and Anaconda.
