Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Dietitian to join an acute/academic medical center in Syracuse, NY. This role involves providing expert nutritional care in an inpatient/critical care setting while collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nutrition/Dietetics.
  • Licensure: Must hold (or be eligible for) New York State Certified Dietitian–Nutritionist (CDN) credential.
  • Certification: Certified Nutrition Support Clinician (CNSC) required.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years in an inpatient/critical care setting.
  • Technical Skills: Strong clinical nutrition assessment and intervention skills.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication, teamwork, and clinical decision-making abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct nutritional assessments and develop individualized care plans.
  • Provide medical nutrition therapy for acute/critical care patients.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers.
  • Educate patients, families, and staff on therapeutic diets and nutrition support.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with facility policies.
