Job Description: Lawn maintenance worker & Landscaper

Type: Seasonal

Location: Cheektowaga

Responsibilities:

• Perform lawn care duties such as cutting grass, trimming edges, and blowing trimmings
• Assist with landscaping tasks such as weeding, planting, mulching, pruning and trimming small trees, shrubs, and hedges to maintain shape and promote healthy growth
• Operate equipment and tools safely and responsibly including lawn mowers, line trimmers, hedge trimmers, backpack blowers, shovels, and rakes
• Load and unload equipment as needed and assist with proper securement of equipment from service vehicles
• Assist in the setup and cleanup of job sites, ensuring all tools and materials are properly stored

Requirements:

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required
• Prior landscaping and lawn care experience is a plus
• Ability to work both independently with little supervision, and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality work
• Excellent time management skills
• Must be able to work in a fast paced environment

Work Environment:

• Ability to perform physical labor in various weather conditions including heat, cold, and humidity. You will encounter fluctuating weather patterns and work in both wet and dry environments. This role also involves frequent exposures to high noise levels from equipment and machinery, as well as vibrations from the use of power tools
• Atmospheric conditions, such as dust, pollen, and fumes from machinery

Physical Demands:

• This position requires various physical activities including standing, bending, kneeling, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and walking for extended periods of time
• Must be able to lift, pull, and push materials and equipment
• Able to lift 50 lbs

What we offer:

• The pay range for this position is $25-$30/hour and is dependent on your experience
• Clothing/uniforms provided (shirts and sweatshirts with company logo, gloves, and safety glasses)
• Weekly pay on Fridays
• Flexible full-time or part-time seasonal scheduling
• Very little weekend work (except as needed for weather and workload)
