Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Pay Rate: $65 – $71 per hour
Hours: 34.5 hours/week (3 shifts per week, 11.5 hours per shift)
Contract: One contract – No extension

Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Pediatric Registered Nurse (RN) for a 14-week night shift contract in Bronx, NY. The ideal candidate will have strong acute care experience and be confident in delivering high-quality patient-centered care in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals

• Provide direct bedside nursing care to pediatric pre- and post-surgical patients

• Administer and document prescribed medications accurately

• Perform wound care, infection control procedures, and IV therapy

• Insert catheters and manage specialized medical equipment

• Monitor vital signs and promptly report adverse reactions

• Interpret and record patient measurements and telemetry monitoring

• Collaborate with the healthcare team on discharge planning

• Educate patients and families on procedures and post-surgical care

• Maintain accurate and updated medical records

• Adhere to nursing best practices, standards, and clinical protocols

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Rehab experience in a large acute care hospital

• Most recent experience must be within the past year

• Strong skills in:

  • Physical assessment

  • Medication administration

  • Wound care & infection control

  • IV therapy

  • Post-operative care

  • Patient education

  • Telemetry monitoring

Preferred Skills

• EPIC EMR experience

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN/ASN) from an accredited institution

Certifications & Licensure

• Active New York State RN License (Primary Source Verified)

• AHA BLS Certification
