Job Title: Team Leader
Job Summary:
The Center for Alternative Sentencing & Employment Services (CASES) seeks a skilled and experienced manager committed to advancing our alternative-to-incarceration programming, ROAR for young people 16-27. The Team Leader has a key role developing and maintaining relationships with the Criminal and Supreme Courts and the wider community to facilitate participant success. The Team Leader is a competent clinical and administrative leader able to implement to fidelity an ATI model that helps young people who are at risk of incarceration enhance their capacity and courage to change their lives. The ATI program helps young people develop critical skills to reach education and employment milestones and transform their relationships and connections to the community. The team leader will promote participant success and equity through culturally competent service delivery that meets the unique needs and experiences of young people involved in the criminal legal system. With content expertise in youth development, trauma-informed care, gender-specific services, resiliency, young adult learning, and strengths-based dynamic assessment and service planning; the Team Leader provides collaborative leadership to inspire the multidisciplinary team. Team members will believe meaningful change is possible, participant voice is critical for effective services, young people thrive in safe spaces and promote skill development and staff competence in the fidelity of the ATI model promotes performance outcomes.
Shift Hours: This position is full-time Monday – Friday from 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Salary: The salary for this role is $80,000 per year
Location Address: 4 West 125th Street, New York, NY 10027. Our office is easily accessible by public transportation.
Workplace Flexibility: Flexible - Staff have the flexibility to complete their workday from home or another suitable space, typically after reporting to the office and/or engaging in field or community-based work.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Manage the administrative and programmatic operations of the ROAR Manhattan Youth ATI Program operating out of our Harlem location.
- Advance the program’s mission and values and adherence to fidelity standards.
- Promote staff development and competence through coaching and structured supervision.
- Facilitate cohesive team functioning that enables staff to perform and deliver services
- Promote developmentally appropriate responses to program participants including family, collaterals, and natural supports as indicated by assessment, consent, and participant preference.
- Ensure service plans are individualized and developed in collaboration with participants addressing needs and establishing measurable timeframes to meet objectives and goals.
- Promote participant satisfaction with services ensuring the environment is welcoming, programming is engaging, and skill-building/acquisition opportunities permeate the service schedule.
- Establish meaningful opportunities for participants to provide feedback and input into program services.
- Maintain collaborative relationships with criminal justice stakeholders as a key point of contact to address participant level issues.
- Plan and implement continuous quality assurance activities that utilize effective performance management and metrics and utilize program data to inform planning.
- Perform crisis response services, as required.
- Work flexible hours when required.
- Other duties as assigned by the Director.
What We Are Looking For:
- Master’s degree in a related field.
- 2+ years of supervisory experience.
- 4+ years of experience working with people in a social services setting.
- Possess a strong understanding of trauma-informed care and culturally responsive practices.
- Excellent verbal, written, and computer skills.
