Degree in Radiologic Technology, Certification in Radiologic Technology (ARRT Certification), and minimum 1+ years MRI experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An opportunity is available for an MRI Technologist specializing in pediatric imaging located in Webster, NY. This contract position requires expertise in operating MRI machines, particularly Siemens scanners, and delivering age-appropriate care to patients ranging from neonates through 18 years old.

Key Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in magnetic resonance imaging or radiology certification (ARRT preferred)
  • Minimum of 2 years MRI experience, including at least 6 months in pediatric imaging
  • Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association
  • Experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center environment
  • Proficiency with Siemens MRI scanners is essential
  • New York State Radiologic Technologist license preferred; candidates without this must obtain it before starting

Responsibilities:

  • Operate MRI equipment efficiently and safely, adjusting scanning parameters for various patient ages
  • Prepare patients for MRI scans and explain procedures to ensure comfort and cooperation
  • Coordinate with physicians to facilitate timely diagnostic imaging and results communication
  • Maintain a clean and safe scanning environment following all MRI safety policies
  • Screen patients for contraindications and know when to halt scans due to motion or sedation requirements
  • Document procedures accurately while preserving patient confidentiality
  • Provide patient care tasks as necessary
