Manufacturing Engineer – Chemical Management (Liverpool, NY)

We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer for a global aerospace company. In this role, you will serve as the primary interface with our chemical management vendor and will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient management of chemicals used in our manufacturing processes. This includes chemical additions, notifications from suppliers, system maintenance, and administration tasks. Should have a strong background in project management, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

This is a 12-month contract (extensions are likely), 40-hour-per-week role (Monday through Thursday: 9 hours, Friday: 4 hours), and an On-site role in Liverpool, NY.

This is a W-2 role as a Stage 4 Solutions employee. Health benefits and 401K are offered.

Responsibilities:

Manage the addition of new chemicals to the system, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
Coordinate with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth integration of new chemicals.
Receive and respond to notifications from vendors regarding chemical changes, recalls, or other issues.
Collaborate with internal teams to mitigate risks and impacts associated with these notifications.
Perform routine maintenance and administration tasks to ensure the chemical management system is up-to-date and functioning correctly.
Troubleshoot issues and implement corrective actions as needed.
Provide technical support and guidance to production teams on chemical-related issues.
Ensure that chemical handling and storage procedures are followed correctly.
Analyze cost and schedule data to identify opportunities for cost reduction, elimination of chemical shortages, and process efficiency improvements.
Develop and implement strategies to achieve these goals in collaboration with internal stakeholders.

Requirements:

4+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, project management, or a related discipline with a strong focus on process management and data analytics.
U.S. citizenship is required.
Bachelor's Degree.
